Billy Dodds reckons Celtic have a decent chance to win the cup now ‘Steven Gerrard’s Rangers’ are out of the competition.

    Phew.

At any time you would put your hand into water another person who has already done so

    is beyond me

I do it every day …after the wife tests the dishwashing water is not to hot 😉😉

  5. Prediction time.

James Forrest to continue his extremely poor run of form with barely a goal and an assist.

Why can’t he be more like that Kent.

  6. David De Gea, one of the best keepers in world – maybe – catastrophic mistake. Just goes to show, even the best can make a mistake.

Come back Jozo, all is forgiven.

  7. Sensible decision to leave Simunovic out of the limelight today. Our away support are a bit more supportive than the home crowd but, any struggling start to our game, would still have seen Simu targetted quicker than all others (with the possible exception of James Forrest).

Tommy Wright always seems to work the trick of getting his defence sorted halfway through a season so that his team finishes somewhere between 4th and 6th place in the SPFL. They are currently 8th and have a game in hand to close to within 2 points of Hibs in 6th potentially. They have won 2 and drawn 3 of their last 5 league games and are in a better league position than Killie, who we have started to see as a tricky away fixture. Stevie May, one of the many “no brainer” signings advocated for Celtic over the past 10 years has started scoring again.

For me, any win in Perth will be hard won and dour. I am glad to see a hungry Griff back up top to hep Eddie.

Playing 3:5:2 seems sensible as St. Johnstone do not have a renowned wing threat. I will be happy with 1:0, I am predicting 3:1

Why did Neil Lennon get drawn on talking about a game 3 days ago?

It’s gone. Over. Nothing can be done about it.

    The focus is today.

  9. Wrong team. Wrong formation. Wrong tactics.

Just what is Lennon thinking. Out thought. We lost this game before a ball is kicked. Just what is John Kennedy s job.

We will be lucky to get them back to Celtic park for a replay.

    One before kick off:

Celtic 1 ( Auld ). St Johnstone 0 Scottish League cup final 1969.

Celtic had a player in their line up,that day who played for Scotland, and his brother also capped by scotland,Who are the two players?

  11. Pitch is a quagmire. Conditions shite also.

    A draw wouldn’t be a disaster today.

That Simonovic is still at Parkhead after all these years is proof positive that Celtic FC is indeed a club open to all.

Have no fears lurking Huns. Billy Dodds says Gerrard is not leaving ‘Steven Gerrard’s Rangers’ and a clear out is likely with new players coming in to catch Celtic.

  15. Jinkyredstar on

Tommy and Willie Callaghan – I think – Stevie also had a leg break that day

  16. BHOYJOEBELFAST

It was either Yogi, the Callaghans or the Brogans.

I was at that game too.

Big Tam drapped because the Saints manger said his wee winger would destroy him.

    Big Tam was not pleased!

    If my memory serves me.

  17. A clear out at Rangers ?! So the thirty players Gerrard brought in for 20 million are crap. So why not clear them out and give him more money to bring more players in ? Makes perfect sense…

  18. Any win today. A draw would be fine but I’d like a week off before Ibrox so get the job done today, Celtic.
