Tough slog out there today. We had a plethora of chances on a rotten surface. FF has a few saves to make but it always looked like us. Was never too concerned.

Thank you everyone for all the updates – a great win considering Thursday’s disappointment and the state of their pitch.

As tough a game as you could have imagined. There is no understating just how big a win that was today, tough coming off of the back of the midweek disappointment and a pitch better suited to growing crops.
I said I would take 1:0 so I will be grateful. We deserved that win though St. J gave us a tough game.
I have no preference for the semi final opponent

Job done well done one and all typical quagmire of a pitch and the usual madden performance made it trickier than it ought to have been but it’s all about getting into the next round.
Hopefully some of our injured players are nearing the first team. Rest recuperate and onto Wednesday

Why there was no red card for the tackle on Forrest is a mystery only know to MadHun
It’s no mystery . Madhun wanted St . J to have their full compliment to sneak a win or be available for a replay.
But what more can i say about our team….they just keep on coming.
Another thing.
The rest of the league are missing a trick out of their own bitterness.
Opening up the spare seats that we see on a weekly basis creates an incredible atmosphere.
Akin to a by gone era to away games that i remember in the 1980s.
St johnstone have to be applauded and lets hope we see more chairmen of SPL clubs do this.
Let the away supporters come in as many numbers as they can.
Condense the home support and creates a genuine football match.
Atmosphere today was superb.

Not pretty but if we do that every game between now and the end of the season, we’ll have 12/12 trophies in four years. Generation of domination if ever there was one.
Midweek disappointment, fired up opponents, dodgy pitch….result was everything.

Well that was a tough, but good, watch. WGS saying you’d never see a match like that on plastic. Tell you what, we wouldn’t like to put our donkeys out on a field like that.
Have to go and think about Jobo’s Poty vote now.

Good, old-fashioned end-to-end cup tie. We deserved to win, created plenty of chances and possession in 2nd half. Saints played out their skins, fair play to them for getting in about us.
Pitch was like something out of the 70s, welly boots wouldn’t have been out of place.
