  1. “Taking the money for Ajer” only makes sense if we’re looking at a decent replacement. With Bitton’s injury problems, if we play three at the back, we’re pretty short of cover as it is.

I want our squad to be stronger – selling Ajer and letting the money sit nicely in the bank makes us weaker on the field.

  2. Wouldn’t let anyone go – say we get a couple of players getting the virus and having to isolate for a couple of weeks.

  3. Snodgrass very similar player to Elyounoussi. So don’t see where he would fit in. Rather have Boyle from Hibs

  4. Snodgrass has played left wing back plenty of times. If he’s signed, my guess is that Taylor drops out.

Don’t think they do their own testing – results have to be given to the league

  6. Delighted for Broony coming off the bench and guiding us to a win. Great stuff from Griffiths and Klimala too – though my link went down for PK’s goal so I’m looking forward to seeing it.

I’d be sad to see Christie go as he is a real goal threat from midfield and if we are playing against 2 banks of defenders it’s good to have someone willing to make a bit of space and get a shot off.

2 strikers on the pitch v the huns please. Ajeti first then Griffiths on later I reckon, due to Griffiths match fitness.

  8. Snodgrass (now being denied by the club anyway) would not be a LWB signing. Slow as a week in Barlinnie.

    Decent player though.

I’m hoping we do some good business there tomorrow. Dreamt of Sessignon but wages were a no-go. Bakker looked a great option too. Last day suggests it’s a loanee probably from the EPL.

  10. Think our play might settle down once we ( and they ) know who’s going to be here after tomorrow. With half our squad being linked with other clubs at one time or another in the last few weeks, it’s bound to be unsettling for some.

Good result today. Not much more to say than that, other than “welcome back Griff”

2 strikers on the pitch v the huns please. Ajeti first then Griffiths on later I reckon, due to Griffiths match fitness.

The radio stations today were even touting Griff for a call up to the scotland squad, that is how desperate they are, However I would be tempted to play some bounce games during the break just to get him and Rogic fit.

More and more the internationals are a pain in the archie. Clubs should be allowed to decide themselves if they want to have fixtures played or not. Why should 2 clubs without a player called up not be allowed to play. Does my nut in.

  14. Call_of_Juarez on

Disappointed for Davie Turnbull today. On a couple of occasions he was looking to make a forward pass but no one was moving for him. His set piece delivery is much better than Ryan Christie’s.

I would drop Eddy and Mo agin the huns and start Griff and Paddy. We are going to need the commitment they gave us today.

  15. Refereeing has been a big problem in Scottish football as long as I’ve been a Celtic Supporter and no doubt before that.

My memory is disappearing fast but I remember Tiny Wharton and Davison (sp) in the fifties, they were terrible to Celtic, in fact Wharton shouldn’t haven’t been a referee,he must have been over 20 stone, and wasn’t good at running up and down the park,in fact most of his decisions were made from the Centre Circle.

Celtic seemed to accept the decisions made against us,but the suporters didn’t, we were always criticisiing the refs.

I can’i believe that These people got away with the cheating for so long.

It would be good if we had a bright spark on CQN who could count how many penalties over the years from 1888 until the present day,no it can’t be until the present day as Rangers were hunted out of the League for four years for all the cheating that went on when Murray owned them,

So it should be until White took over.

  16. BANKIEBHOY1 on 4TH OCTOBER 2020 6:32 PM

    Who was the huns ref?

John Greig, with Kriss Boyd and Neil McCann as the lino’s. Hugh Dallas was the fourth official, with Nigele Farage included in 7 ,an bench for his debut replacing Grand Master M mcWilliams who was a late call off due to a goat strain related injury

other than that very fair and impartial refereeing, wait till you see the penalty, Some say the invible man is rubbish against rangers, he was today, Morelos tripped over him.

  17. lets all do the huddle on

i would have yellow carded lamela and martial for that incident

but lamela should be banned for ever for what he then done. what an utter shitebag

  18. Drop Eddie against the Huns….

    Not for me.

Their centre halves are terrified of him.

    He’ll come good.

  19. Eddie and Griff against Rangers for me.

The best football we’ve played under Lennon is with these two together and it might get a tune out of Eddie again.

Griff won’t last the full game….bring Ajeti on when he starts to tire.

  20. p.s SoJ,

Tunrbull will come good. He looks a nice footballer with nice technique and I like what I see…

Jubilant at that late win today. It will rip the guts out of the huns. We never looked like scoring. The only shot on target was Eddy’s trundling scuff in the first half. The performance was utterly dreadful.

Kudos to Lenny for subs and to the old guard for digging us out. The guys that started – particularly in midfield and up front – owe Broony and Griff Big time for the bail out.

N’tcham and Eddy offered us nothing today. Nada. Moi had some promising touches, but otherwise anonymous. Good players all three, but poor today.

Taylor’s a great defender I think. Really good. He’s just not what you need when chasing a game at 0-0. He was poor going forward today, but I still think he’s a good player to have.

Elhamed was poor in the first half, but put in two brilliant crosses in the game, the second making all the difference. What a header from the wee man.

Klimala isn’t the guy for deep sitting defences, but again he scored an excellent goal, which shows he has something.

Duff and Ajer both solid today, along with Barkas. Big shout out to Ajer for the skill that finally opened up the space behind the St Johnstone defence with 15 seconds to go. Really was huge for us.

Finally, Nick Walsh. We couldn’t have blamed him if we had dropped points today without it sounding like sour grapes. So I can say this because we won. We know what you are pal. It pours out of you.

Today Neil Lennon took charge of his 50th League game since his return to Celtic, he’s won 41 of those games and drawn six, his win rate is 82%, he’s won 129 of the 150 points available and he’s averaging 2.58 points per game.
