  1. Leigh has just had his second Caramel Wafer………..and is eyein’ a third…………

Last week we had a good win against Hibs – are we in good form?

One swallow does not a summer make.

  3. Eduard is a number 10. He thrives when working with a runner up top. Ely wants to play short and in front of the backline. Both want the ball to feet. To easy to defend against us.

griff and Klimala came on, they both ran in behind, both pull out wide and force defenders to turn. We get shoots off.

If we are gonna play 2 up top at least one needs to be willing to run onto balls and into space rather than showing all the time. The runner creates space for the 10 and the 10 dropping off does likewise.

G taylor is a good leftback but is far from a good lwb, we need the latter asap to make our team far harder to defend against down the left, if we plan to continue with the 352.

Cant think of one domestic game I’ve seen since this fans lock out that has been any good, most of them are simply dire, no one and nothing is standing out, it’s not just Celtic. No fans, no atmosphere, nothing.

    ————————————

I heard a pundit on Radio5 last week saying that the team average distance covered during games is down.

Considering that 5 subs are now allowed the opposite would be expected.

It shows that the support from the crowd, the momentum given by your own support can help players find that extra bit of energy when they are running on fumes.

It may also explain why we are struggling for so long, to break down opponents, in some of our away games.

Our excellent travelling support make away games ,against minnows, feel like Celtic Park.

When we go ahead , their heads often go down.

Finally if , in future , we ever advocate an away game boycott , ( for some future transgression of the SPFL or SFA ) please remember that

while “football without fans is nothing”….

“Celtic without fans” are a much less daunting proposition.

Looking forward to the international break – not

    ————

Crazy that they are allowing players to zig zag across the globe just to play football matches, which can easily be postponed.

Souness blaming the long grass – not a problem at Hamilton, killie or livi 😡

    ——–

Wouldn’t surprise me if those teams relay an extra plasticy pitch before we play there :O)

  7. Only saw the highlights so my view of the game is rather narrow.

Interestingly, though, two of my picks for Jobo`s MotM would be two who came on as subs !

Incidentally, Patrick Klimala`s urgency to get back on his feet so quickly and his excellent dispatch of the ball into the net were both very commendable. I think we might have a future crowd favourite in young Patrick.

Worryingly, Eddie was once again very poor. I am hoping a drastic change occurs after the transfer window shuts.

Finally, as with us, I only saw the Sportscene highlights of the Sevco game and they did not look too great either. This often happens after European games and especially if you have been Away in Europe and, in our case, Away in Scotland as well.

  8. Most of Duffy’s passing today was ten feet in front of him.Anything above that was his usual pish poor putting a teammate in bother pass 🤷‍♀️

  9. Patrick Klimala`s play after that tackle was epic…….but, why didn’t the ref blow for a horrendous tackle?

  10. Mrs Gene is 65 tomorrow – originally should have had her state pension at 60 then 65 and now 66 so got to keep her in the manner to which she would like to become accustomed.

Seriously that’s a lot of money she’s lost.

  11. Hello T,

I am certainly considering Duffy and Frimpong but, at the moment, Griff anf Klimala are my definites ( Mainly because goals are everything at the moment). Also, of course, we cannot ignore the influence Brown`s mere presence might have on the team.

I would definitely let Ajer go if he is going to play left side of a 3 , nearly ballsed it up again today because he canny kick the ball with his left foot.

    ………..,……,

Eh he was instrumental in Leigh’s goal. He ballsed up nothing today.
