  1. Ffs…half time chat has us losing 3 points

…nae wonder ‘GG Has chucked us…45 mins to get the goal(s) as Stj are looking for 1 point

Quite a few on here having been that for weeks. But we keep getting told that we are the negative ones. It’s a win that matters allegedly

  3. Let’s hope we’re not sent into a two week international break on the back of dropped points today. Much higher tempo needed.

  4. BACK TO BASICS – GLASS HALF FULL

agree , what has happened to Lenny telling us when he took over from BR that there would be no more of the pathetic slow passing backwards/sideways movement an he would have us playing high tempo forward passing team , honestly we have got worse.

Our stats have been hiding the fact that our performances have been turgid. Winning is all that matters I agree but our poor form will catch up with us before very long. Do these guys realise how important this season is?

  6. Compare and contrast — CMcG’s shot — this week vs last week.

Last week — bit of snap / bit of energy.

This week — vegetarian effort / trying to pass it into the net without hurting his shoe leather.

Interesting change in attitude from the one player.

Sums up today’s first 45 minutes.

  7. Not a lot of positives from that first half. Mo is an enigma to me, there’s a player there somewhere. This is the kind of game big Tom can turn and I’d give them 15 to play with more tempo and create some chances but if nothing changes then Tom anfGriff for mr for Mo and either Olly or DT

  8. I think we have been zipping the ball about a little faster today and there have been two ( I know it is only 2) good build up moves this half but everything gets bogged down when we get to half way.

With Callum playing deep and Ntcham being pretty deep. We often have only Frimpong and turnbull supporting our two attackers (who are either below par or are being snuffed out too easily).

We have missed Christie’s “Selfishness” as the key to beating a packed defence is to mix it up a bit and have some shots that the keeper might spill or will get deflected.

Against a fairly agricultural attack , we do not need to be so safety first. Callum is impersonating Broony by dropping back to take the ball of our CB’s and then we have 3 less players involved with the build up. Both Ajer and Duffy are capable of bringing a ball out centrally and passing it forward. Only Elhamed needs to transfer the ball today to the midfield because his passing is off today.

    Positives-

Tanser will tire and Frimpong will make an impact

Neil will see that the Elyounoussi -Edouard link is not working and Griff or Kilimala will get on.

St. Johnstone are not very good and, no matter how bad we have become, we are beter than them :-)

  9. Dont think any of us are being neg for neg’s sake. Just calling what looks like a laboured, unimaginative, blunt first 45.

We will do better. Guys need to want to own the positions they’re playing in.

  10. Hallmarks of the Livi defeat this time last year, The most important thing is to keep the head.

  11. we have learned that whatever outfield ten we play ,they find it hard to breakdown a ten man defence that is compact and chase players down.

We know they tire in the end ,so keep at it ,we will score ,not pretty but three points all that matters😜

  12. The midfield is the main problem, Turnbull and Ntcham are not at the races. Cal looks leggy. Christie needs to come on asap.

Rotten. Nae form. Some overhyped guys showing why they’re normally second choice.

  14. Went to bed last night in tears of laughter after watching the last two episodes of Frankie Boyle show.

Woke up before 7am for the game and should have saved my tears for this morning.

    Subs coming on.
