That was a borefest from two bang average sides at the crumbledome there.
Except for Hoilett plus Triantis and Miller (the 2 Aussies) I thought Hibs were guff; error-strewn and lumpen.
Saddened; as I still have a soft spot for them since the Schaedler, Blackley, Stanton, Gordon side of the 70s.
WTF is McKay doing as their DoF of whatever the hell he’s supposed to do?
And THEMS; woefully pedestrian. Which is great to see!
Guff all round.

TB – I mentioned on here keeping an eye on Liam Miller when he first came from the A-League to Hibs.
Raw and strong, but not developing – IMO – as much finesse and positional nous, as he is beef and brawn.
The rest of Hibs… band of journeymen and old lags that didn’t look confident of beating a v jittery home mob.
Some great performances, just thought Engels was not really at it though. Early days.
CalMac aside, out three Japanese bhoys are the cream of the crop, by a mile. Work ethic, non stop , love them all.

the linesman did flag for idahs goal. but it doesnt actually matter whether he did or not. the ball went in so it is always going to get checked by var anyway regardless of what the linesman does, a bit like the huns goal today so its of no consequence.
unlike chopping maedas goal off which was just utterly ridiculous

Away at Dortmund, Celtic will have a significant allocation of 3800 away fans.
Then in Bergamo against Atalanta, the Hoops have been granted 1300 away tickets.
In December, when they travel to face Dinamo Zagreb, 3000 Hoops supporters will be allowed in the away end.
At Villa Park, 2500 Celtic fans will be let into the stadium.

Perpicacity is my middle name .
On another note. I just watched the clip that showed our disallowed effort by Maeda.
If a referee gave that I would think `Hmm..` but VAR ?
I am at a loss as to how that could be seen as a foul.
Celtic Mac, sorry for delay in getting back to you, grand weans were demanding attention.
Yep, strange things happen when SFA employees get a whistle and/or flag and step on to a field with Celtic players. Twas ever thus and when a guy like Big Jock makes comments about taking referees out of the equation you know they are a serious threat.
The extent of our superiority at the moment means that they are less likely to have a crucial role in games, but that of course is not the argument: they should not have ANY role in our games other than being a fair and consistent arbiter.
Like most on here I have been witness to countless examples of crap/partial refereeing over years and years of attending games at Celtic Park. Those who attended the final league game of the women’s team last season witnessed an appalling display from the clown in the middle who did everything he could to help Hibs that day and stymie Celtic. It didn’t work, thankfully, and it has not had major impacts over the last twenty years, but that does not mean we, and supporters of other clubs, should have to accept it.
I have posted previously my belief that Wee Wullie will have no positive impact over the long term in his new job – he was very much part of the problem when he was pretending to be a referee so how can he possibly be the guy to clean up the mess they are in. I would love to know the whole story about why the new head of VAR, Moss, has done a runner within two months of being appointed. If we had a functioning sports media in this country they would be all over that story, but ………..?
Anyway, in Brendan we trust and this season is shaping up to be a cracker.

Guys,
We are the best team in Scotland by a country mile.
We have the best manager.
We have the biggest and best stadium
We have world class training facilities.
We are develpping Barrowfield
We have the best first team
We have the best squad.
We have a great fanbase ( Domestically and beyond )
We have legendary European nights.
We play the best and most entertaining football.
We have the biggest crowds
We have fans queuing up for tickets.
We are one of the best run professional clubs.
We are financially sound and stable.
We are in 4 competitions including the big one
We have a great Ladies team that are creating history.
In the context of the above no wonder all the other domestic games look poor in comparison.
I really feel we are ready for Europe and are at last giving it the priority it deserves.
