Hope so. Was brought up with Man U as my English team and he is a rotten manager. Doesn’t have a clue, team has no identity or style of play and has not improved one single player.

    Guy is a clown!

As long as they won’t come after Brendan, they should get rid of him now. Could see the players had chucked it from early on.

  3. In September 2024 the capacity of Ibrox Stadium increased to 51,587 with the addition of a further 600 general access seats in the new Copland Rear cantilever and 30 disabled access seats being installed in the Copland Front.

their blogs are full of disgruntled bears who are not attending.

the european games have seats available in every section.

what a waste of money to instal those extra seats.

lyon are getting the full allocation that celtic will get near 3,000

  4. lets all do the huddle on

    Greenpinta,

we also have infinitely (nearly!) more cash than the rest of the teams in Scotland.

so nothing that is happening now is unexpected.

but we are now putting that cash to good use.

but the CL will be the judge of that!

  5. £616,000,000 spent on transfers,by Man U,in the past two seasons. For that rubbish.Think of the wage bill 😮

    Great result for Ange.

  6. 1 in 5 seats were empty roughly.

Glasgow September weekend would account for a few missing the game today.

Also a Sunday Noon ko and live on sky would have an effect

A fine post. Anyone not happy with the current Celtic is unlikely ever to be happy.

PS Is SFTB still in America?

PPS Those two comments are not connected :-))))

  8. Couldn’t care less about a club part owned by a guy who buys 25% of Man u with pocket change installs Brailsford to oversee football then dumps Grangemouth workers on the dole , f..k him, just stay away fro BR, who in my opinion we should be looking to get tied down on a 5 year deal to turn us into a credible European force, we have the basis to do this right now.

  9. lets all do the huddle on

but how do you know that?

why do you believe the number the huns gave out?

did you believe the numbers the Kellys gave out in the days for our attendences at old ground?

    honestly, who cares.

Tom Mac pointed out that the linesman did flag for offside, and on watching the analysis of the highlights I just about could see him about to do so. Point is though he did not flag at any point in the play, (and I do not want to hear aboout protocols) and he was in a good position, and not only did he flag after the fact, the number 33 on the near side was clearly playing Frankie onside. Agree with you that it would take a lot of bad calls to impact on a 6-0 win, but some games will be closer. Thanks for getting back

    Yes & yes.

I often ponder what the general mood might be if we ever moved to a more competitive league(EPL) where we would lose more games and win less honours. How would those who find grounds for complaint at the moment react and handle things?

Of course we are all different and see things differently, however my view is that we have enjoyed a wonderful last twenty-four years with the promise of more to come – we should count our blessings.,HH

*SENTINEL CELTS PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2024-25*

*RESULTS FROM GAME #9 ST JOHNSTONE 0 CELTIC 6 (KYOGO(2), BERNARDO, McGREGOR, MAEDA, IDAH)*

    Good evening, friends.

I didn’t catch the game live and only found time to watch a full re-run a couple of hours ago but wasn’t it great to yet again be fantastically entertained by our fast flowing football.

Admittedly we took a wee while to make the breakthrough but half an hour in saw a fantastic, sweet strike from Daizen Maeda. Unfortunately, and very surprisingly the VAR asked the referee to consider a coming together in the box and the referee decided that Trusty had impeded the St Johnstone defender and disallowed the goal.

But just 4 minutes later and we did score the opener when Kyogo was sent through on the keeper and this time made no mistake with his finish. On 43 minutes we doubled our lead with a quite fantastic goal. A 60 yard 9 iron from the very impressive Johnstone was controlled by Kuhn who played it over to Kyogo to lay it into the path of Bernardo. A sweet, controlled curler into the bottom corner made for brilliant viewing.

And 2 minutes later we had a 3rd. Some more great link up play, a fine cross from Taylor and Kyogo had his second with a Larssonesque header.

That turned out to be Taylor’s last contribution as a half time substitution saw and appearance for Valle. And it’s worth noting that both Valle and Trusty were both far more impressive than last week.

10 minutes into the second half saw us extend our lead with a fine strike from Calmac from outside of the box. Again! And halfway through the second half, Maeda finally managed to get a goal to count with a bullet header from a very precise cross from Bernardo.

With 15 minutes remaining, Calmac was given a well earned rest and handed the armband to captain-in-wating Johnstone. I’d love to think that AJ will actually play out the rest of his career with Celtic as he is so impressive both on and off the park.

Finally, we now know that we had saved the best till last. In the 83rd minute McCown played an exquisite lob wedge chip to Valle whose backheel was slotted home by Idah. But the reality is that we have scored so many fantastic goals this season. Of the 33 we have netted so far, is it only me who thinks that about 25 of them are in the frame for goal of the season?

All in all a fantastic 3 points to keep us top of the table on goal difference from Aberdeen.

We have now played 9 games this season, winning them all. We have scored 33 and conceded 4 although none yet in the league!

It must be more than coincidence but for the 3rd game in a row I’ve received votes from 71 folk! Thank you for your support.

The total votes cast for each player are as follows, with my own nominations asterisked.

    Schmeichel: 0

    Johnston*: 6

    Trusty: 3

    Scales: 3

    Taylor: 0

    McGregor*: 24

    Engels: 1

    Bernardo: 49

    Kuhn: 27

    Kyogo*: 48

    Maeda: 51

    Valle: 1

    Hatate: 0

    Idah: 0

    Forrest:0

    McCowan : 0

And so, the players receiving POINTS for the game against St Johnstone are –

    Maeda – 5 points

    Bernardo – 4 points

    Kyogo – 3 points

    Kuhn – 2 points

And the overall positions after 9 games played are –

    17 points – Maeda

    4 points – Carter-Vickers

3 points – Forrest and Idah

1 point – Schmeichel and Yang

0 points – Holm, Johnston M., McCowan, Nawrocki, Palma, Ralston, Trusty, Turley, Valle, Welsh

*PLAYER OF THE MONTH FOR SEPTEMBER*

The monthly award is based simply on the total votes received over that particular month. During September we had 5 games across 3 competitions – 4 home games in a row(!) against Triggers Broom FC, Hearts, Slovan Bratislava, Falkirk and then yesterday’s game away to St Johnstone.

Third place with 134 votes is Daizen Maeda whilst the runner up on 139 was Nicolas Kuhn. But the clear winner with 173 votes is Paulo Bernardo.

    Monthly winners –

    August – Calum McGregor 184

    September – Paulo Bernardo 173

We now travel to Germany to face Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday with an 8.00pm kick off. I am confident that at least 3 of our players will merit your recognition of their fine performance.

    Hail Hail!

How did Kwon do against the mouldy buns today?

    ———-

He’s physical and fair snaps into shutdowns and tackles. Had a decent pop at their goal that Buttafingers had to look smart for. Minimal creativity. Nothing special to my eyes.
