  2. No changes from Brendan on Tuesday. He won’t sacrifice his strongest team worrying about them.Nearly said as much last night. With more room to play,I cannot see us not get a result.

Regards Aberdeen, all they have to do is keep beating the others, they are nowhere near us,but Huns go to Pittodrie end of October. That’s their big game.

    They wont get near us.

Just had another look at Adam Idah’s goal on Sportscene. As shown, the linesman on the far side does not raise his flag at any time before or, as shown, after the goal was scored, and he was in a good position to look across the line. So, who disallowed it in the first place, the referee who was behind the play? The cameras did not dwell on the linesman, and the commentator stated that the goal was disallowed for offside, with the camera then showing the ref getting word from the VAR that the goal was good. Question, who said it wasn’t?

โ€œ They canโ€™t chalk them all off โ€œ

A sublime performance, and more than shades of Stein around Parkhead these days with the return of Tier One Rodgers, players opined in the first week of training, that it was like a breath of fresh air and new partnerships and friendships were launched. Replacing big sales, with a higher level of player is paying off for Celtic, even although every team, even Bratislava (but not Malmo) were dross, courtesy of SMSM.

BR and his coaching staff deserve enormous credit on Celticโ€™s start, Paulo Bernardo wasnโ€™t in the side by accident, heโ€™d played his way in, nosing out Reo Hatate in a team game that has changed enormously. The five subs rule suits our squad that has been deepened by Celtic, along with the halted project trail, every signing is first team ready. Aaron Trusty never put a foot wrong not even when Alan Muir technology, had did its damage, for Daizenโ€™s first goal. Arne Engels looks a league above and a snip for the money, Luke McCowan is more than Callumโ€™s understudy and he made another shining appearance, whilst Alex Valle inside a week, has gone from abject to audacious, thatโ€™s the magic of Celtic

Home or away doesnโ€™t matter in the CL no aggregate goals itโ€™s a one off game, and I donโ€™t expect BR will go all pragmatic in Germany, hold on to your hat, thereโ€™s no Prussia, but plenty of high press.

โ€œIt should never have been disallowed.

If you watch it back, Austin loses his marker and their player steps into his space and bumps him.โ€

The VAR is watching the game so in that sense they are checking every goal. But dont forget as even Willie Collum stated it is not their role to re-referee the match. In the case of Idah’s goal word got through to the referee that the goal was good, begging the question, who said it wasn’t?

  7. Stuck a wee fiver on Hibs at 10/1. Too good a price to ignore.

However, I donโ€™t think the officials will allow Hibs to win. As their team need the win badly today.

Just watched our highlights on Sportscene. Some unbelievable football that isnโ€™t captured in the Preier Sports 3 minutes of highlights video on YouTube.

Canโ€™t wait for Tuesday and will be heading to Fitzgeraldโ€™s to watch it. Place will be buzzing! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ†โšฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ€

  8. Prestonpans bhoys on

And they score as I’m leaving, said the other day, their ability to score with their first shot on target is uncanny…

  9. No sure itโ€™s good to be accentuating the fixture issue pre Dortmund. The old adage was about not giving players excuses to fail.

Fine to speak about it at other times.

Huge credit about everything else. This feeling of positivity around all things Celtic going into a CL game is unchartered territory.

    Any news re CCV ?

  10. HIBEES do a hibee with penalty. see players who do stutter run up i would sack them. everyone knows hun keeper is suspect on left so what does penalty taker do,.

HIBEES do a hibee with penalty. see players who do stutter run up i would sack them.

    โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”

Spot-on. Iโ€™d do exactly that. See ETH has stopped Fernandes doing his stupid run up with the hop and heโ€™s scoring more penalties now.

Itโ€™s all for show tbh. Donโ€™t think it makes the keeper move and could the taker really react quickly enough in that moment to change their mind of where theyโ€™re putting the ball? I doubt it.

Hibs are useless tbh. They need to score the next goal or itโ€™s game over.

  12. lets all do the huddle on

    as ive always said

clubs need to start immediately transfer listing players who hit pathetic penalties like that.

until that happens then we will keep seeing that pish.

he took a massive runny as if he was going to hit it properly, then the ball barely reached the 6 yard box.

if your club doesnt have a player who can hit a penalty properly (not necessarily score all of them) then thats bad for a professional club

  13. Integrity โ€ฆnot one Scottish Ref could spell the word โ€ฆ.rotten to the core โ€ฆcan you imagine them when they retire reflecting on their career to their grandchildren โ€ฆaye I remember that one well..that was the time I cheated for the Gers !!๐Ÿค”๐Ÿคข

    Totally agree bud.

Hope youโ€™re well and seems like you had a nice time at the Ship Bank on Friday?

  15. glendalystonsils on

If that guy is Hibs designated penalty taker (in the absence of Boyle) then the manager needs a boot in the baws tae .

  16. On the contrary,I think Hibs have been excellent today, smothering them and hitting well on the break. One shot on target tells the story.Idiot with the penalty robbed them of deserved HT draw.

Big Sutton winding up Boyd on the phone.Has to bite.๐Ÿ˜‚

  17. Brilliant performance from the Celts yesterday. Brendan Rogers has the team playing at a new level, better than anything we have seen for the last few years. It’s difficult to see how anyone is going to come close to us this year in Scotland. The quality coming off the bench each game must be frightening for opposing teams. All the goals yesterday were sublime. The movement, speed and the understanding between the players is a joy to watch. If you watch big Adam’s goal, as the ball goes over the defense Adam is already moving and ready to pounce on anything that comes his way while the defenders are ball watching. The lay-off from Valle was ridiculously good. Same for Kyogo’s first. The header from Kuhn was different class. That Bhoy is looking like he’ll eclipse the transfer fee we got for Jota.

Maeda’s disallowed goal was a joke. How can anyone who knows football say that Trusty committed a foul there? Roll-on Tuesday, different ball game in Germany and this is the one game in the league that I’m not expecting anything from. Just hope the Bhoys show that we are deserving of our CL place.

  18. Noticed the bbc commentary team on the highlights last night kept schtum on the Maeda disallowed goal

Even worse, I can’t remember it getting even a sentence by “pundits” in the studio, much less a discussion

Noticed that. Michael Stewart however on the Premier Sports video did call it out.

Yeah, Michael Stewart did well, national broadcaster bbc just whitewashed it as if it didn’t happen

Looking forward to wee willie winkies weekly VAR youtube on it

This mob are there for the taking

    โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”

Hibs shave made positive changes as well. If they get the next goal, I fancy them to go on and win it. That lot will be tired from celebrating their Champions League Final win over the mighty Malmo on Thursday.

  23. CELTIC MAC

The linesman certainly did flag Idah’s goal offside. Just because the TV camera’s miss something doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
