  1. Fantastic finish from John Higgins, to come from 8-5 down to win 10-8 against Mark Selby in the Tour Final and to win with a 132 break. Brilliant, and timely with the World Championships coming up.

    Great Celtic Man!

And just as Scotland go 2-1 in front in the ol’ Curling against the Swiss

  2. And there you go

Scotland win the World Curling Championship in Ol’ Moose Jaw

    beating the Swiss 5-4

    That’s a Snooker/Curling double tonight (Canada time)

Need to check when the next Elephant Polo Championships are scheduled

    And so it goes…..

Is it clear who Brendan was talking but during his post match press conference when he said that a player was going through the motions, I’m paraphrasing here?

    Good morning CQN.

    Chilly but sunny here.

A week of April sunshine (usually unheard of in Glasgow area) and some Champions League stuff Tuesday, Wednesday might help get over yesterday.

    We got beat.

    It happens.

Ideally (IMHO) we should quickly dampen down talk of

    – issues with the mindset

    – who is leaving

    – the need (yawn) for a rebuild

And instead ascribe the snoozy performance to a lack of edge (which is partly understandable).

    Forlorn hope I admit.

Prepare for incoming across all media.

    Yap, yap, yap, yap, yap

Given they were hooked at half-time, I’m guessing Kuhn and Shlupp will be in the manager’s crosshairs.

Kuhn was dreadful from last January until the end of the season and has been dreadful since January thus far. Maybe he only plays from August to December.

At least Schlupp is only on loan.

Wonder if Paul’s article-du-jour will focus on the squad’s slack arses?

Or mibby it will all be Brendan’s fault ?

A mix of the two is probly where the truth lies.

    Good shout Quad.

For me – defining, promulgating, and CONSTANTLY reinforcing the culture and identity of the team, is the sole responsibility of one guy.

If he needs to bin slack arses (temporarily or permanently) to reinforce this …

… good for him. Genuinely. Go for it.

As long as he can do so within budget.

    A-HA !!!

That irritating fault line were football management is expected to behave the same as management everywhere else.

    🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

BTW – if you think we’re slow starters ..

    .. check the FTSE 100

Tanked 5½ % from kick off this morning

(all those pre-programmed sell orders off the back of shenanigans on Friday, the weekend, and this morning in Japan)

    … now climbing back.

A combination of policy dictated by a narcissistic moron, insatiable human greed, and letting computers do the thinking.

    What could possibly go wrong?

    B2B…

I’m very much a fan of Brendan yet with a few creeping worries about our collective inability to rise to the occasional occasion.

If we thought the Huns getting smacked by the Hibees was a hoot, thems will be snickering with glee after yesterdays deflation.

It’s like we’re needing to find some kind of an attitude hardener; a sort of viagra for the team temperament!

  11. With newclub losing on Saturday, the players knew a win on Sunday and next Saturday at home then job done.

If they cannot get motivated for that then nothing a manager says would help.

Sunday was down to the players
