Today’s squad plus Lustig, Roberts, Jozo, Ajer and any new additions will the the core squad for the season. Those not quoted in that 24 will probably be moved on as Brendan wants to play with a smaller squad of flexible players and play his strongest team week in week out from now.
Astounded of forehead at your level of condescension. Not for the first time though. It is a trait you master like no other on here.

Jeez, been trying to catch up with all comments since the game on Wednesday, but with the inlaws here for the week, it has proved a futile exercise.
My only comment on Flegs. I knew it would happen, I didn’t want it to damage the club, so I didn’t want it to happen, before it did.
However, as I saw it happening I just knew it was the right thing to do. The comments from the Middle East that are currently choking the interweb, show it was worthwhile.
What UEFA will do, is what they will do. Doesn’t matter, it was the right thing to do, and hopefully it helps the dreadful plight of the Palestinians in some way.
Today though. Let’s do this Celtic. Domestic dominance in the league, and playing with the big boys midweek. Perfect.
I saw that statement earlier. I can only assume they are alluding to terror murders rather than state sponsored terrorist murders from nations within UEFA.
They are truly a organisation of lowly moral fortitude.

Good morning from the steamy eastern seaboard.
From the official site
NIR Bitton and Saidy Janko come into the Celtic starting line-up for today’s league clash away to St Johnstone as Brendan Rodgers makes two changes to the team that swept aside Hapoel Be’er Sheva three days ago in the UEFA Champions League play-off first-leg.
Bitton, making his first competitive start for the Hoops since the opening match of the season in against Lincoln Red Imps, replaces Callum McGregor in central midfield, who is named among the substitutes.
Mikael Lustig, meanwhile, makes way for Janko at right-back, with the Swedish internationalist dropping out the squad.
Those minor alternations mean Leigh Griffiths, fresh from scoring his brilliant brace against Be’er Sheva, continues to lead the line in attack for the Bhoys, supported by James Forrest, Tom Rogic and Scott Sinclair. In central defence, Kolo Toure and Eoghan O’Connell continue their partnership.
Kick off at McDiarmid Park is 12.15pm, and the club’s official Twitter feed: @celticfc will have all of the pre-match build-up and in-game updates as the Hoops aim to chalk up another league victory, having defeated Hearts 2-1 in the opening day of the Scottish Premiership campaign.
Thought I’d leave this until today and let the poteen induced Marxism from last night dissipate a little
I don’t recall too many dissenting voices in here when UEFA ,rightly so,sanctioned the Huns in 2011 for the conduct of their support in breaching their rules. But that was then what about now.
Well it appears that some on here are pretty confident that Wednesday’s nights display was worth it and are Celtic are only going to be hit with a monetary penalty come the 22 September
Well UEFA aren’t too shy in closing grounds or parts of grounds of teams from the so called big 4 nations as Inter and Real Madrid will testify. They aren’t going to lose too much sleep in closing part of the ground of a team from an affiliated association that now only provides competitors for their showpiece group stages on a sporadic basis
UEFA are well aware there is only limited actions that clubs can take against their more persistent offenders so when their patience finally breaks they re going to punish the persistent offenders directly
Hopefully after Tuesday Celtic will have qualified for the showpiece group stages but don’t hold your breath about any signings being made on the back of the financial windfall.Celtic after Wednesday night are now uncertain of what their budget is going to be until the disciplinary committee hand down any sanctions on 22 September
Saving grace is that Matchday 1 is due to take place on the evenings of 13/14 September so won’t be affected by any forthcoming sanctions Matchday 2 is shortly after the committee meet so unlikely to be affected. Match days 3,4,5, and 6 well let’s wait and see,but imagine drawing Real Madrid in Matchday 3 and playing at Celtic Park where the only permitted spectators are thosethat have flown in from Madrid or alternatively a Matchday 4 where UEFA have banned the Celtic support from entry to the Bernabeu. Are the protagonists going to crowd fund any lost revenue from a closed stadium or reimburse those who make flight reservations when the initial draw is made. I know it’s a worst case scenario but it’s not an improbability.
My worst case scenario is where Celtic are drawn to play away from home on Matchday 1 or 2 against Tottenham Hotspur, the temptation to carry out another protest ,due to the Spurs supports perceived of all thing Israeli, would be too much for some after a day on the swally in London. If such a draw was too take place would Celtic be prepared too take another hit for their so called supporters before the 22 September.
We don’t qualify for the group stages on a regular basis anymore so let’s not the few spoil the enjoyment for so many. As many have said there are many other forums and platforms where you could take your justified protests
ps while arguing wth an attendee at the game on Wednesday about political protest I was told that the Maldives should be handed back to the Argies I just had too smile at that one.

Your no too far off the mark there, I was recently offered a job on the new Istanbul airport, think the recent political turmoil has sort of killed that though. To be honest I was struggling to justify going.
Celtic FC have themselves confirmed that the continued selling of the ‘Barca 125 TIFO merchandise’ and the profits garnered from aforementioned TIFO merchandise is being set aside to pay for any and all Uefa fines that the club may incur due to fans highlighting global injustices.
