Make no mistake this game tomorrow is no forgone conclusion . The performance of our defence the past few weeks has seen to that . I thought they looked a decent team ,and looked especially good on the ball . Normally with a three goal lead I would be 100% confident ,but this team will test us . Apologies for talking football .

Sooooooooooooooo, back tae the fitba’.
I’ve been busy all weekend and never got a chance to post. Very creditable performance on Saturday, bearing in mind we have struggled a wee bit in Perth recently. Wee Jaimsie was brilliant yet again and Sinclair and the Griffalo are showing just how much of a problem they will be to defences in the SPFL this season.
I know wee Jaimsie’s goal was brilliant, but the one that stood out for me was Sinclair’s. Forrest shoots, keeper saves; Griffalo follows up and shoots, keeper saves; Sincalir follows up and scores! Fantastic to see the front men swarming in on goal and reacting so quickly.
Switched off a wee bit (understandably) in the second half and nearly got mugged – naïve from Liam Henderson at the penalty, but overall I was very pleased with his contribution. Also very pleased that unlike previous seasons when we snatched a draw from the jaws of victory, we went on and closed the game out by getting a 4th goal!
Was it a booking for Griffiths? Probably though it galls me to say it? Was it a booking for Forrest? Never in a million years. I think it was a case of mistaken identity, so I’m glad he booked Jaimsie rather than Griffiths who was involved with the fans, otherwise he’d have been sent off!
Be’er Shiva tomorrow night. I’d bet tempted to go with the starting line up from Saturday with the possible exemption of Henderson in for Rogic. Depends if we want to go all in as the banner says or keep it a wee bight tighter because they have to come out and we can catch them on the break. I reckon it will be a victory for us, a 2-1 or 3-1. As soon as we get a goal (which we will) they need to score 4 which I feel is way beyond them. Even our string vest defence won’t ship 4 goals tomorrow night!

Has anybody seen Big Mick McCarthy’s comments after the Old Farm Derby? Hilarious. I’d have him as Celtic manager just to see what he had to say about the press and the referees.
I’d like to see Sir Warbmeister try to lecture him on professional etiquette
Ipswich were neither passive nor agricultural against their local rivals and McCarthy was certainly forthcoming after the game when asked if their performance would have eased fans’ concerns.
“I get sick to death,” he said. “We play one bad half [at Brentford] and we’re all shit and can’t play. ‘The manager doesn’t care, get somebody who cares,’ I’m ‘a boring cunt’ – somebody called me that last week. I wish they would say it to my face on my own because his pint of lager, he’d have been wearing it.
“Let me tell you, if that’s what they think about me and my team then they are sadly mistaken. I’m not having that and it does hurt me. Up and down like a bloody fiddler’s elbow – I’m all right one week but I’m not the next.”
____
Knudsen’s right foot is generally used for little more than the proverbial; this time, after Norwich had failed to defend a long throw correctly, he had enough trust in its ability to let fly from outside the area and restore parity.
“I didn’t buy him for that,” McCarthy said. “It’s akin to my left foot. He does all the shitty jobs, gets up and down, so it’s nice for him to get some love for scoring against Norwich.”
___
“If that is the case then I’ll be battering PGMOL’s door down again on Monday morning with a tirade of: ‘Hey, any chance of us getting a decision?’” he said of Professional Game Match Officials Limited. “No I won’t – I’ll be doing it tonight on their answering machine.”

I don’t think it’s a pattern, more the fact that we have a number of young lads in the team. Lack of concentration at crucial times in the game and not being game-smart enough is my opinion. Henderson didn’t need to make the tackle at the penalty, and I’m sure in 2 seasons time he won’t make a tackle in that position; he will keep on his feet and make the player work.
Overall, I’m happy enough and still don’t see them troubling us too much tomorrow. Remember, we have Erik the Viking to shore up the defence if we are rocking a wee bit and Paddy Roberts to bring on if we need to attack more; possibly even a cameo role for 20 minutes in behind Griffiths and Sinclair to pull their midfield back a wee bit and narrow the game in the middle of the park.
I still think we have done enough and the game is well beyond them.
