  1. Gentlemen, let me pre-empt the next 9 hours of the day on here by slipping in the following certain cliches on the way:

    Not Good Enough.

    Tactically Clueless.

Duff Signings, Unsuited To The SPL.

Not Convinced The Manager’s Big Enough For The Job.

The Board Must Carry Some Of The Blame.

Lack Of Quality Through The Squad.

    ‘Unacceptable’ ;repeated ad infinitum

‘Shocking’;like they’d never seen a football team beaten before.

Not Fit To Wear The Hoops.

    Disgraced The Jerseys.

The one thing which will be night and day and which will make me smile is: We Missed Sammi. Undoubtedly from the same people who wished him shanghaid on a slow boat to China this time last year.

I actually prefer a low-key, ‘unacceptable’ performance just before a major Euro game; leaves the players no place to hide on Wednesday, no 5-0 pumping of some SPL pub team to drink on.

Daft losses in the league like today off-colour effort can be made up; particularly this season and the next.

Absolute shambolic performances in the CL will get you slaughtered. Here’s to a different Celtic Wednesday evening; I’ve no doubts about that.

  2. Some of the comments on here today bordering on hunnish.

I wonder what our new bhoys think they have come to, it’s a hell hole.

The total lack of protection for our players.

    It’s a feckin joke.

You can all go on about we should be better, doesn’t wash.

  3. Well I never expected that scoreline, we were weak in midfield and that led to our defence being put under pressure, over the last 3 years its become clear that Broony is better suited to right mid, we are suffering from injuries but should have had enough to beat St Johnstone.

Well done to the Saints for taking advantage.

    Onwards to the next game.

Kev….. I would suggest we have lost the ‘edge’ in game’s over many years ….. Too many players will CL on their minds……. Shocking

  5. No complaints about the result, St. Johnstone fought well for it.

It would have been a very different outcome had Norris given the penalty and sent of the Saints defender however.

    Missing Joe in the middle.

Commons, Broony & Wilson had good games I thought but we didn’t dominate the middle of the park today at anytime. No penetration, no real service for the front two and very little use of the flanks.

    Overall we were poor.

Hate these early kick offs. Bad result spoils the whole weekend.

Better team won I think – too many of our guys semed to have International Hangovers. Perhaps no coincidence that Commons was our best player – I hope Levein keeps ignoring him.

That said – certainly not the only reason for the cr@p performance right enough!!!

  7. last season Lennon claimed that the team needed consistency despite his choppin and changing – this year the team is different in every single game again – the only consistency in the team is the abject performance of Hooper and Izzy tho oday Mulgrew was even worse – at fault for both goals. On Wednesday he’ll have a different starting 11 again.

  8. Can it possibly be, that distracted by THEIR absence and dazzled by CL, the serpent of complacency has entered Paradise?

  9. Our coaching in SPL games has been poor this season.

Every opponent seems to know formula to play us and they have been assisted with the cheats with whistles.

Unfortunately there seems to be no coaching plan b.

Our off the ball movement is very poor and our shape and purpose lacking.

Defenders still guilty of ball watching and this needs urgent action on training ground.

Lennon deserves praise for. Europe but can justifiably be criticised for a very poor performance in league thus far.

Too many players back in too soon plus a rusty looking debutant who left us short in the middle and James having a stinker as did ‘spot kick’ AGAIN. Well played St.Johnstone. Glad Charlie got that game out of the way today rather than next Wednesday. Adam back as well. Lenny knows who let him down and I’m sure he won’t miss them.Sad to read the usual negative comments on here as well. HH

  12. THE EXILED TIM Were you at perth to-day,well i was and you know what we were rank rotten, you like a lot on here defend lenny ,but not me he and his 2 cronies have not got it,good players but being badly coached ,Champions Leaugue were having a laugh right enough.

  14. Alluding to part of the lead article

Don’t worry too much, a team with Fallon, Gemmell, McNeill, Murdoch, Auld, Johnstone and Wallace were turned over 0-2 at home by Hearts in 1969.  A few days later Eusebio and Benfica, who lost the 1968 European Cup final after extra-time, a year after Celtic won the tournament, walked off Celtic Park having lost 3-0.

Jeezo comparing the above named players with the likes of our best players just now Brown Commons Ledley Kayal Mulgrew Forrest and Wanyama is like comparing a Ferarri to a Punto. There is not one of the present squad would have got a game with a team from that era or would they even have got on the subs bench
