  1. Neil Lennon is ainm dom (nohunlover) on

I’ve just realised Celtic deserve to be cheated every week in the manner we were in that first half with Euan Norris denying us a stick-on penalty. You know why? Because Celtic do nothing about it. Just had enough of taking it.

    Peed of Celtic fan.

Its a worry that Efe has not walked into our first team. Nothing from the full back or Midfield areas. Front players and keeper our best players due to Saints out numbering us in midfield. Take off Izzy. Bring on Effe. Go 3 at back. Push Chaz into holding position. Shove Victor or Skoosh ten yards further up.

We tend to go into hibernation mode when we score early.

  3. HT 1-1

    Our initial promise has faded.

Neil needs to read riot act. No cohesion. No sustained possession or pressure

  4. Let’s hope Izzy finds his old form. He looks a bit of a passenger today though. They have looked like getting something every time they go down their right.

Think Tony Watt would be more suited than Miku for this game..

  7. Celtic scored a bit early if it’s not a cliche, and free kicks and Norris prevented St Johnstone being turned over quickly, like ICT.

The penalty when viewed within the laws of the game was just plain cheating, and there is no other word.

Celtic will reshuffle as Hooper and Miku are not linking and they’ll need to play closer together, fancy a couple of goals one from each of them for a comfortable win, as St Johnstone’s ‘in your face’ tactics fade.

  8. The Battered Bunnet on

The impression is that the Celtic players think they need only get stripped to pick up the points.

I’m quite sure they don’t believe that, but that’s what it looks like.

Lenny needs to give them a little correction in the attitude department.

  9. That is the worst first half i have witnessed for quite some time. Players simply havnt woke up to St. Johnstone’s questionable pressing game and the obvious referee dubiety. Our game seems more suited to the continental style now, which I’m all for but we look like we are struggling to match the intensity of St. Johnstone’s pressing as it knocks us out of our continental, on the deck style of play. I’m sure Neil will have words and we will see a more focused display in the 2nd half.

  10. Saints should’ve scored just there. Lustig totally had near byline.

Only caught last 10 mins in telly. Yet again it appears there is a bit of a malaise amongst the players. Hooper looks frustrated. JF only latterly into game after switching across. Dade is again showing our central defence to lack physicality when pressed by an agricultural big striker. Vic 67 is a class above but not firing on all cylinders. Come on the Hoops! I backed Celtic minus a goal. Looked good on paper….

  14. HT St Johnstone 1-1 Celtic

Scrappy first half. The conditions look tough with a bumpy pitch and swirling wind. Pitch also looks small which means it is difficult to find any space. This is kick and rush SPL football today caused by St J working really hard to not let us get any time on the ball. Can’t think of any player who has stood out so far. Forrest and Commons look the most lively. Miku had a decent first half. Looks to have good composure on the ball. Had a chance to tee up a goal for Commons but decided to shoot himself and sent it high and wide.

On the penalty, I thought Commons did try and draw a foul by leaning across the player. There was some contact but I would have been disappointed if that one was given against us.

Need a huge improvement in second half. Too many minds on the CL for me. Hopefully Lenny will sort that out at HT.
