  1. Second half a vast improvement on first. Captain Lustig and VVD strolled through game, Biton looked good in slow motion, McGregor got his reward for his shoot on sight attitude and Berget looks like a decent addition who can cover many forward positions.

  2. I liked Berget tonight. Physical presence and awareness. He will be a top player for us.

Good result and confidence booster for players, management and fans who were great tonight.

Also credit to Mr Lawwell our Director of Football. His half time team talk must have made the difference.

  3. Well done the Bhoys….vastly improved 2nd half.

Biton, Calum, VVD were good…pleased to see CG out quick to clear.

Ive got a feeling Berget might do quite well.

    Should instil some confidence.

    Well done Ronny.

Still no negatives, this must be a record?

they were all on at halftime.honestly some folk don’t know what they are watching.celtic played very fast vey accurate football.st J nackered near end.

    RONNY will do for me.

  5. Delighted with about 80% of the play.Great result against the best Saints team I can remember.Mc Gregor gets better by the game.Biton keeps the ball moving quickly.Forrest a great 60 mins.Johansen,a great shift.VVD,immense.My really only worry is Kris losing the ball too many times when we are on the attack. Its his only weak point, but in Europe it could kill us.Even Derk looked interested..Hope we see more of Bergets on Saturday.

    Anyway delighted.Roll on Saturday.

I liked Lustig as captain tonight

    Good call

Remember him celebrating like a raj when we won in Sweden in the CL qualifiers last season.

He got it. I think he gets us.

Bergets haircut is not fit to wear the hoops. I heard Peter Lawell cuts it for him. Sack the’bored’!!!

  9. I thought we started really great but I began to worry that it was going to be one of those games. We tired but we showed good a attitude to keep plugging away. It was a good test of nerves, especially as it’s coming after the disappointments in the Legia games.

  10. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

Not seen any of the game-working as usual!

Delighted with the result, and I hope the players and the management can take the positives from it and get the confidence flowing.

One positive for me is that Fergus is unfurling the flag on the back of a very good result.

I hope he is cheered to the rafters!

  11. Well done to the team the manager and his staff, they were under pressure tonight and got there, terrible interview post match from Shanly

  12. Lots of positives to take from that game.

Liked the look of Craig Gordon, though our centre halves are going have to get used to a keeper wants to control the whole box

  13. 67Heaven ... I am Neil Lennon ....The angels are with Wee Oscar in Heaven.. Ibrox belongs to the creditors on

Craig Gordon had a great game…!!!!!!!!

  14. Good deserved result. Opening game impression – we need players/tactics that will withstand the opening 20 minutes where teams will shut us down and prevent us from playing but once space appears we have the players to exploit it and a CENTRE forward will make a big difference.

Sky Huns still pushing the denied penalty and VVD leaving. GIRUY’s

  15. TBJ says Wee Oscar Knox is in heaven with the angels on

Ronny D records a bigger victory in Perth than NFL managed

Happy as a clapping sand bhoy when I put a positive spin on it ;)

  16. Wee McCann the hurting Hun, shocking decision to give Celtic penalty. As TD 67 would say GIRUY

  17. VVD on his future, don’t know he wants to play CL….

So he’ll be here for Maribor at least!

  18. BMCUW

He will be especially from me. Hey ho. :-))

Weefra HH praying to Wee Oscar.

  19. We played better without stokes and commons. Berget held the ball up, showed good movement and I was impressed with him. Derk also did well when he came on. Some decent crosses and pace.

    Our penalty was embarrassing.

Pleased to hear good things about Gordon.

    Oh aye here we go?

  21. Hi CQNers

    Acceptable performance and deserved victory.

    Well done the Celts.

I thought the boy Berget looked quite useful as did Boeriggter when he came on. Van Dijk strolled through the game. He will definitely need to be more alert and more energetic in Slovenia.

Those numpties on Sky just can’t resist it. They’re still going on about the penalty St J didn’t get and McCann going on about “shocking” penalty for us. It must be sore for them!

The game at Celtic Park on Saturday promises to be a good test before Maribor.

The champions are back. Not brilliant……..but little steps!!!
