Our frailties are all to evident to see. We are going to have a tough time this season unless things start clicking. A finisher up front must be a priority as well.

It is nearly impossible to score when you don’t have anyone inside the opposition box. At any level of football
Neither striker prepared to make a run behind the defence, both always looking to come short. Bit more shape to the team but zero penetration.
Considering the opposition, I’m not convinced there’s been an improvement since Legia.

Decent so far, but we need to be sharper up front.
OK first half, St. Johnstone playing very well. Match finely balanced, could go either way.
Stokes and Commons not on the same wavelength as the prompters, McGregor Biton and Johansen, Matthews and Big Mick playing well, Jamesy looks dangerous but with out a striker worthy of the name he runs out of options, Pukki for me would work better than Anto tonight.
Kris sorry mate you’ve not been at the races so far this season.
Our midfield is unable to control the game. Brown is badly missed. Johansen, Commons, Stokes all poor. Forrest at least offers something different.
Low key first half.
Crying out for a centre forward.
Good to see Forest back.
If Gordon can stay fit I think he’ll be a decent replacement for Forster.
Green shoots of recovery showing in that first half performance.
A goal scorer is a must.

Yeah, you are.
Stating the obvious, Anto is not a lone striker does not lead the line well on his own. No obvious candidate in the squad to fill the role. Not overly impressed with anyone thus far but hope things improve 2nd half.

We are actually playing not too badly. Lots of neat, fast passing, with players supporting one another and looking more mobile than they have for a long time.
Major plus point is James Forrest who looks sharp and direct. Biton, Lustig, Izzy, and VVD all also looking much more switched on than recently. Craig Gordon also made one great catch and a good save.
However, the watching Maribor assistant coach will hardly be quaking in his boots. We are simply toothless up front. Everything is breaking down at Stokes’ feet, and Commons looks weary already.
We need to sort this quickly, otherwise there will be lots of frustrating games this season.
Oh, and please can we get Broonie back asap?

Only plus and it’s a big one is James Forrest. His touch, movement and passing in a team who are struggling to do all those things has been very noticeable
Clueless in the final third and still look very suspect at the back.
Not much for Maribor to worry about.
Don’t like to single out but a lot of promising attacks broke down when Stokes took possession.
Typical boring every body back st, Johnstone, try and catch yi on the break, tactics like that would get football banned, and someone said this st. J manager was a good one? Any nugget could play those tactics, boring boring.
celtic are running all over them.passing crisp and fast and no BIG CHARLIE stopping and turning back.
