  1. Good morning, friends. The voting from yesterday’s game has been more of a trickle than a deluge but the good news is that there’s still more than 11 hours until the polls close! 3 names, 1 email please cqnpoty@gmail.com

  2. Repeating ‘paper talk’ here, and I know a lot of it is GUFF, but sometimes it is accurate, or at least a pointer.

Ntcham to Lille? Is Ollie maybe ‘in the shop window’ these last number of games? Has Neil re-arranged the structure of the team to accommodate this, knowing that the fee for an in-form first-pick Ntcham could be enhanced?

Adds further interest to Sunday’s selection. If we go back to Jamsie on the right, Ryan back at No10 and Mikey out left, then maybe, just maybe.

A decent fee for Oli could finance a deal for Fraser.

Concern about a “challenge” for the league, from an improved Sevco is one thing. However, your post at 5.54am is just mindless conjecture, basically stemming from your own anxiety and insecurity about our ability to win the league.

I could offer hundreds more possible outcomes, that at this stage, are just as likely to be realised.

There are 19 games to go (20 for the Sevs), to be predicting an outcome that worries about goal difference? Get real man.

    🍀⚽️

  4. Hunderbirds.

`stemming from your own anxiety and insecurity about our ability to win the league.`

    I agree.

`your post at 5.54am is just mindless conjecture, `

    I disagree.

  5. onenightinlisbon on

Sevco are a better prospect than they have ever been in their history. The likes of Mr Desmond and the other fat cats wanted it so. The sectarian pound is one they can rely on to line their pockets.

  6. On the ` anxiety and insecurity` matter.

Seems to me that the general attitude towards Celtic in Scotland is bound to engender those twins of insecurity in our support..

The opposite approach in total support of Rangers then and Sevco now, created ,fed and continues to feed their complacent sense of superiority and right to succeed.

Our `ten in a row ` chant suggests out younger supporters are less secure and anxious than are those less infected by Scotland`s attitude towards us.

  7. HUNDERBIRDS ARE GONE @ 10:25

What is it with some people on here, the manufactured vitriol expressed over differing views is now getting to the laughable stage.

You say you could offer “hundreds more possible outcomes”, that’s fine, I’m sure some members of the blog would be interested. I decided to outline only one scenario to highlight our profligacy of late – Chris Sutton used the word wasteful a number of times during commentary on BT Sports.

I’m neither anxious, nor, insecure about any outcome, I merely use this fine site to air my point of view. Is that not the nature of a blog?

When teams are locked together after half a season, it is not beyond wit to imagine a close finish with goal difference a factor.

  8. See that tight “League” table………………?

    :)

See them points…………..won, lost or denied…..

    ……by partial ABC decision-making!

That’s scoddish fitba’……….sleekit, bear-faced cheatin’…………. helpin’ thur favourite team and impedin’ Our Hooped Heroes……………………………………….Sport?

    Laff……I nearly bought a “newspaper”!

You are perfectly entitled to your view, as I am entitled to hold my own beliefs. However, you make claims in that post, dressed up as fact…

    “Two things stand out:

*The importance of the result on 29th.

    * Things could be so close that goal difference may be a factor meaning our recent profligacy could come back to haunt us.”

Those two things don’t stand out to me. The two things that stand out to me are that we have a five point lead, and we play the Sevs at Celtic Park next. If I think hard, then the next thing that stands out to me is that the period January to March is when leagues are won, and it is only December.

    🍀⚽️

  11. Dress it up any way you prefer Stevies Sevs will be worse off points wise on the 29th December 2019 than they were on the 29th December 2018…

  12. MCNUT on 27TH DECEMBER 2019 10:17 AM

Has Neil re-arranged the structure of the team to accommodate this, knowing that the fee for an in-form first-pick Ntcham could be enhanced?

    No

  13. To clarify (not number of points) they will be even further behind than this time last year…

Chasing the current Champions and holders of every domestic trophy

  14. MCNUT on 26TH DECEMBER 2019 9:36 PM

    FRITZSONG @ 19:51

Look – I have a brain that can do more than one thing at a time.

    _____________________________________________________-

I’m quite sure you have, McNut, and that you’re a remarkable person. Keep doing more than one thing.

  15. Flag Happy, Red Card, Red Card, Ross

Odsonne Edouard scored twice in Paisley though it’ll never show in the record books thanks to the haunting Tory. TV pictures confirm Odsonne Edouard clearly in line, and onside for his first goal eagerly disallowed by Douglas Ross, now a permanent scourge of Celtic, unable to ‘play the game.’

The second ‘goal’ by Edouard drew another flag, we weren’t even allowed to see a replay because BT had moved moodily on, as Celtic collected the points anyway. Ignored by SMSM even the redoubtable Chris Sutton failed to call it out, or do his job, towing the party line instead?

The disallowed goal galvanised Saints and they dug in for a fluke to make a nonsense of the scoreline, as Celtic continued to miss too many chances for complete comfort, as the attention as if it hadn’t already switched to the bigoted ‘Barca’ on Sunday.

The same successful format expected at Celtic Park with the same line up, seems certain as Ntcham came in after the League Cup final to stiffen the midfield, at the expense of A N Other wideman. With attacking options on the bench, our current lineup has potential goalscorers across the team, some of them saving it for Sunday.

    M.O.M – James Forrest

  16. Sunday is our biggest game of the season. A win will break the back of their title challenge. They’ll be going into the second half of the season having lost every meeting against us, that’s priceless.

  17. “Do you honestly think that when the Celtic lads are standing out there in front of 60,000 screaming fans that they’re going to be fearing anyone?”

    Paul Lambert
