    Dreadful result loads of huff n puff but no forwards on the park or on the bench, goodwins mob won’t get a draw like that again for the season, 11 behind the ball the arsehole for the full game.

    The players dropped tonight, with the exception of Hart….needed a rest….

     

    There’s a good chance that a few of them, had they played, would have ended up with hammy injuries or been burnt out. It’s a gamble Ange will make more than once until our squad gets stronger/larger

    Deeply disappointing performance & result as others have said, step outside our top eleven and we look ordinary.

     

    Wouldn’t write off Moffat on this his first start, but himself Mikey & Abada offered very little tonight.

     

    As a squad we need a break and we need 4 or 5 first squad recruits this Window.

     

    After the high of Sunday this is an almighty kick in the arse however while a bad set back it is not a fatal blow.

     

    St. Johnstone game is now huge but we have to learn new tricks in trying to break down a massed defense.

    We’re clearly second favourites now for this league title. Far from impossible but we’re playing no mistake football. Beating the huns at CP is a must but truth be told, given our current state, St Johnstone is a worry on Sunday.

    we can’t run at them on the wings because simply both our wingers tonight where playing on the opposite wing from their natural position, MJ can’t go by his opponent on his left as he only uses his left foot for balance if you are going to play him it must be outside right or not at all.

    For whatever reason most top managers are running with wingers who cut inside….depending on defenders for crossing the ball

    Fair point.

     

     

    Maybe my memory is playing tricks but IIRC it used to be common for players to switch wings if it wasnt working , even just temporarily to wrong foot defenders and make them second guess for a while.

     

     

    Never seems to happen now.

    Again I have to ask why does refs get criticise when we get beat or draw ,that system that Ange puts out is finished ,also Celtic could still be playing and still not score ,and leave Johnson,Moffat,Abada alone the whole team were a shambles ,

    Not much Ange ball tonight. Understandable after the weekend but not excusable.

     

     

    Not the first time a Celtic team hasn’t found a way to break down 11 man defence. And won’t be the last. Just don’t want too many of them in the one season.

    As always the over reaction to a setback on here is remarkable.

     

     

    If we get the right players in January we will win the league.

     

     

    The main error this evening was not playing all of our available best players from the start. To be honest I didnt think we needed to and I’m writing with hindsight. The highs of Sunday and the uncertainties surrounding football, including not knowing if the game was on or off today have not helped either.

     

     

    It is what it is. Regroup and go again. I don’t think St J will play quite the same way as St Mirren but we have to prepare for it.

     

     

    I’m off the Internet for a while.

    Abada and Johnson were dreadful again.

     

     

    Pity help us if we have no youths that can do better than them.

     

     

    Again like watching last season under Lennon a feckin shambles.

     

     

    What was with our support never heard 1 song?

     

    No backing of the team, pointless being there if not supporting the team.

    i’m more pissed off that no-one liked my spiderman joke. i wish that was true, the black dog has been nipping my heels for weeks and i was hoping not to be tipped over by Celtic.

    the huns are actually improving from the pish that they were at the start of the season. fat charlie is getting his act together too. they are not great but they have more match winners than us when the chips are down. 2 in a row is looking more probable now. feeling physically sick. will back ange to the bitter end but tonight we seen the same pish and poor team selections served up during nfls worst days. happy feckin xmas ;-(

    Agreed good job none of that defeatest mentality is present with pros.

     

     

    4 months into the season, lots more games, many on decent pitches, with some sun and proper chances to out on pressure.

    I’ll repeat myself but our set pieces are probably the worst in the world statistically. Maybe 1 goal from 60 corners. Yet Hibs and RC score with their first and cause absolute mayhem every corner against us. How can our mgr not see this??

    We had no sports science/conditioning in place in the summer. Ange said it was a priority when he came in. So the lack of funding/preparation in this area meant that it was reasonably likely we would have lots of injuries. What exacerbated this more was the threadbare squad.

     

     

    So, hardly an unforeseeable or unexpected position to be in,

    I know players needs a rest tonight,but Taylor has only played a couple of games.Juranovic looks super fit.If you don’t have wingers,use the full backs to get you up the park.We tried nothing to change the way that game went.Finished as we started.Ange gets the praise,has to also,like players,take the blame.

    The issue is that since GVB arrived at Sevco, they’ve stopped shedding points. Unless they have a fire sale (unlikely), I can’t seem them dropping points (particularly with refs on their side).
