Sad stuff about the wee old lady

As for your break hope you & C enjoyed your reminisce and

    Money goes to money :-)

You were missed on Friday … I was only there for a few hours but was a great wee turnout for Belmont Brian’s day oot

  2. I’m surprised the ref is escaping criticism.

Absolutely text book cheating. Don’t book their bad fouls until 70 mins, check.

Soon after you book their first card, immediately book a celt, check (ralston- if history was a yellow they did the same about 5times)

    Second goal surely a foul

And the biggest decision of the weekend football was Kevin yday not giving d utd a very clear penalty, ably assisted by the asst ref

It’s actually amazing that we can compete with these cheats

Not even going to worry about todays lose, it was going to happen at some point and I’ll be delighted if Ange can repeat the domestic run of no defeats for the next 364 days

Glad you both enjoyed your romantic weekend away :-)

  5. GFTB

    Enjoy yer day the morra!

Not worried about the result today, really!

As long as we learned something!

    Worried about CCV’s absence though!

This as got dropped points written all over it – we still don’t look engaged – strange atmosphere…

Had to work from 12.30 so didn’t see anymore of the game after the comment above.

Nobody likes a smart arse but you could see this coming from the “applause??” – thought our players looked bewildered at what they were hearing and there is no doubt it effected the team.

That team should be St.Mirren everyday and twice on a Sunday so it has nothing to do with changes made or not made but everything to do with application, energy and spirit and that was sucked out of them from the start – it was clear and unarguable that we were flat and nowhere near usual self.

Not only did the morons cause this defeat today they also stuck two fingers up to the club and to the manager. Would be interesting to know Ange’s private thoughts about that and does it alter his view about his future going forward. Yea we love you Ange but ask us us to be decent respectful human being and not embarrass you or the club? Nae feck that big man.

This is a bad day for Celtic both in a footballing and how our club is is viewed and why – because dicks bring there own agenda to our door and pish all over it. This is a result that everyone in the UK would have wanted after the midweek banner (except is obviously) because at this moment in time morons are dragging our name and reputation through the mud.

Time to bring out the big stick Celtic and ban these dicks before they do us more damage because make no mistake we are just a vehicle for there agenda – they couldn’t give a shit about anything else.

  7. I give the manager all my support. It is up to him to adjust the team as is his want.

One loss in a calender year and people are questiong his choices.

Watching purple Huns. Snodgrass is better than McCarthy.

Craig Gordon why oh why oh why did we let him go.

  8. Philbhoy :-)

Just shows how important CCV is … we have a very young defence … not making excuses as St Mirren deserved their 3pts …

As you say we move on ..

Losing is always rubbish … but losing while still 2pts clear is bearable :-). (just)

  9. You sing about “Setting Ireland Free” then you vote against NoDeal Brexit in Corbyn`s peaceful hands which would`ve meant IMMEDIATE Irish Reunification without a border poll – five5 years ago, same again two2 years later.

The majority within Parkhead have voted religiously for a party of deviants and lying chancers.

Only a couple of days ago, Salmond and Sturgeon flew to London to swear their commitment to maintaining “PROTESTANT SUPREMACY” on the island of Britain, under a new and easily manipulated Monarch.

No MSM has informed you about this.

Big Tech is suppressing the ONE1 and only person trying to tell you this.

And I will probably be deleted for trying to tell you about.

    Good luck. 🍀

  10. Ange didn’t throw anybody under the bus but “Football always reminds you when you get ahead of yourself, we have a lot of work to do individually and today is a reminder of that.” was very telling.

  11. Moisey.

That is some leap. The players were upset by the applause and they couldn’t play and ange will be thinking of the future.

    Dearie me.

  12. If you read back through today’s comments, most of us felt from very early on that something was amiss. The ghastly grey strip was being equalled by the lack of colour in the team’s display.

Long before HT we were calling for substitutions. It all just felt off. Jota and Hatate then had a full 45 minutes to inject the missing creativity and, unbelievably, it changed nothing. To see Jota, Hatate, Kyogo, GG, Abada and Haskabanovic, not being able to trouble St Mirren’s defence was a complete shock after weeks of scintillating football.

If I was Ange, I’d blame it on the curse of the grey strip and never mention it again or let it be seen again.

  13. Not sure where this leaves us regarding the squad and the CL homegrown / SPL trained requirements — SW not looking up to a long term place in the squad but who do we have to replace him given that we ned 4 club produced players in the squad?

I think that SW can become a good player but he is not ready to be in the team now — and so not good enough for the squad squad now — and he desperately needs time on the park to grow as a player / gain experience.

    AR a bit similar.

We can play one inexperienced player in a successful back 4.

However we cannot play 3 and still hope to play at the same level.

  14. Saint Stivs 4.45pm

I was gutted when Craig Gordon left … he should never have been allowed to leave ….. but I think Joe Hart is actually a better goalie

  15. Madmitch 4.53pm

Fair play … this morning you questioned our centre half position …

Credit where it’s due … CCV being out was a massive miss

  16. We lost our first League came in a year, our second Domestic game in a year,

We outplayed Shaktar midweek albeit we only got a draw, so for F— sake, lets keep it in perspective,

Top teams losing unexpectedly to lower teams happens all the time in every League in Europe.

Our players did not turn into duds overnight, my only worry is are we over reliant on CCV, I’m sure Ange will know and if so will move to redress situation next window.

If we were to put on 2 or 3 performances like today in a short period of time, then yes I would be bothered but whilst deeply disappointed I’m confident that we will be ack in the saddle after the break & normal service will be resumed,

  17. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    We got beat.

    It happens.

At close to our best we can go toe to toe at home against the current European champs.

Play well below our best and we can lose to St Mirren.

On the positive side – remote risk of complacency is now more remote.

On the negative side, the national news reports lots of people dragging their weans to spend a very cold autumn night in an outdoor queue.

    Madness.

  18. Speaking to Sky Sports, Postecoglou said: “Cameron {Carter-Vickers} pulled up a bit sore so he wasn’t available today. He pulled up sore, so we’ll see how he is. I think he’s out of the US camp, so we are hoping post-international break he won’t be too far away. Josip {Juranovic} has played a lot of football so with Anthony {Ralston} coming in it made sense to give him a break.”

Next up for Postecoglou’s side is a fixture home to Motherwell, while they also face St Johnstone in between a crucial Champions League double-header against RB Leipzig.

  19. the result today rests on ange shoulders , far far too many changes in the starting 11, badly underestimating the quality of the opposition and vastly overestimating on the quality of the players he started today

  20. St Stivs 5.10pm

Wouldn’t disagree … but Covid stopped guys like Barkas & Ajeti and others integrating with their teammates … St Mirren beat us today … the last game Celtic played before Covid hit was a 5-0 victory with Leigh Griffiths scoring a hattrick …

    What’s done is done …

But like yourself Craig Gordon was brilliant for us and “our” board and Neil probably thought Fraser was going to stay …

I suppose thats how it goes …

Covid was terrible for many families .. on a fitba front it booted us in the haw maws … Every Celtic fan forgets how good we were December 20 to March 20, Griff and Edouard terrorising defences .. but that’s all I’m the past … like today :-)

Am delighted we now have Ange but still love Neil 🍀

  21. Celtic were awful today and we got exactly what we deserved.

As I heard the supporters at the start of the game I had to laugh at the bewilderment of all the folk clapping. It actually demonstrates just how ridiculously complient folk are when told to do something even when it goes against the intended outcome.

Simple fact of the matter is trying to force people to do stuff at public events is not appropriate. If you want to show your respect there are plenty of opportunities specifically for that.

The queen/ king gets close to 100 million a year from the public purse while having an estate valued at around 15 billion pounds. They do not pay inheritance tax so wealth gets passed down the foodchain. The monarchy are the symbol of elitism and of a class system that keeps poor people poor and is a symbol of emperial Britain which has up to 200 million kills and countless thefts across the globe. Let us not forget these are not elected folk.

In britain today we have over 3 million children living in poverty in britian.

  22. The good thing about the interruptions by Dundee Utd, Hibs and Celtic supporters shows that we are not all cowed into false mourning.

I have just spent a week in Hampshire. The southern Englanders are going overboard with grief and misery. My in-laws asked me if I would be watching the queen’s funeral. I said not at all. Is that because you are scottish? No. It’s because I don’t give a toss about it, and I am more of an Irish Catholic republican.

  23. Some blame the referee and throwing the game to help Sevco stay in the race ,away and have a lay down ,we were beating fair and square by St Mirren and the manager must take the blame for not starting with his strongest starting eleven ,so anything else is just a excuse .

  24. For the most part this is a decent forum, but of all the Celtic discussion forums, I knew this would have a post that blamed the fans for today’s defeat.

  25. My wife gave me an evil stare and kicked my ankle when I said that. She thought I had promised not raise my views about it all.
