  1. This might go against the grain but I quite like wee Naibalance ..

Read a great article when he was at Everton them he done the same back in Scotland … “loaves n fishes” ??

Actually a really decent guy and very unhunlike :-)

  2. Not a great performance but job done. Hopefully we can grind through a few more and then find our form for the run in.

Would like to see Palma as a number 10. The 4-4-2 was different enough to allow us to win the game with a couple of quality moments without really controlling things, possibly them getting out a bit more helped reduce the horseshoe of doom.

Very obvious when not setting up for control that the gap in quality of player isn’t nearly as big as it should be, sadly that’s a problem for the summer, one I’m sure we’ll have no option to address if we do win the league but will find excuses for of we don’t.

  5. Willie Wallace and John Hughes

    Bertie Auld

I’m not sure about the 3rd. I’ll try Ronnie Simpson

  6. garygillespieshamstring on

Ruled out a forward as the bear, Joe Mcbride, Charlie Gallagher Stevie Chalmers, Bobby Lennox and jinky were all competing for first team places before Willie Wallace arrived.

  7. garygillespieshamstring on

Also not jim Craig as big Tam played right back with Willie O’Neill at left back at the start of the season.

  8. Unless I have missed it will catch (1.58pm) Turkeybhoys post about Daizen tomorrow …

    :-)

Next round of the cup = job done 🍀

  9. Bernebei,Scales,Palma,Ralston,Calmac, all played very well today.O Riley better than last few.Kyogo, big game scorer.Subs,Yang and Kuhn, did well.

    Atrocious surface.

    Good stats,7 wins,1 draw,last 8 games.

    Palma,10 goals,14 assists,

    Kyogo 12 goals.Can make the 20.

And a bye into the Semis.

  10. GFTB,

    You can catch it now.

    35 mins in,had done nothing.Ballooned a couple of crosses,as only he can.Missed a couple of chances.Never went past a man.

Second half, right place for a rebound ,scored. That, right place the only thing he done in the game.

An absolute imposter.Never good enough. Most of the game he was a man short for us.

    The end.

  11. Not The Bus

“Not so sure i jump into tje “very please” camp. Very relieved more like.

I cant remeber a team outside Sevco dominating possession over us domestically.”

    —————————————

Not sure what the point is here- St. Mirren only had 34% possession

  12. B78

Yang did great to get away and then with a 3 v 2 he should zero intelligence and butchered the chance.

    It’s just a fact……

  13. GGH

I said he did well to get away and then showed a huge lack of football brains by butchering he initial good work.

Kuhn was running free in the middle of the field – it was a 15/20 yard straight pass max.

IMO a major feature in our fractured form all season is we have too many inexperienced players who do not have the smarts required – yet.

Whether they get them or not who knows but do I really want us to be a nursery for multiple kids that are either not good enough or experienced enough? Not sure I do…..

  15. Celtic are in the next round of the cup

Celtic are top of the league

Celtic have around half a team to return

Don’t buy into the Hun hype … unless your a Hun

    Am loving this Brendan ….

    (again) …

He better not ditch us for a second time … surely even Brendan wouldn’t do it again …

  16. It’s not about smarts.

The parks are like ploughed fields, squad it far too big and few are getting decent game time.

In any walk of life if you do not get the chance to practise and then perform your best then it is highly unlikely that you will succeed.

If you are not given the chance like Bernardo or Iwata or Yang then you will definitely not succeed.

As Rogers suggested today the environment and critique on Celtic players from media and fans and everyone else out there in this (insert adjective to suit) wee country makes it really tough for anyone to settle, never mind kids from the other side of the world.

What kind of mental strength did edouard or ajer need in the covid year when the support was turning on kids in their early 20s who were holed up alone then asked to perform at weekends and then abused by a salivating media and Celtic so called fans.

Still if your way of ‘supporting’ your team is to criticise everything that is wrong and it makes you feel superior or better in some way then I guess that’s what you will do.

  17. Burnley 78 8.13pm

One of my brothers through marriage (my neice to a Rangers fan… he is a brilliant guy) knows a few of the board punters … it annoys me when people actually think this board aren’t Celtic fans … ridiculous

Although in my opinion they should do far more for the Celtic foundation & the Kano foundation .. good will and they would actually bring more money into the club …

The Kano Foundation made my kid a wee rebel Celtic maniac more than I did

As a club we could always do better ,. The board should have been highlighting the stuff the club done about people who were struggling with the cost of living …

We are in a great Celtic place and while questioning the board as fans we should really appreciate what we actually have

John Clark was an educated guess. I remembered big Tam played centre half against st midden so knew Billy didn’t play that day or in the last game v killie.

Also John Fallon replaced Ronnie Simpson in the same killie game so I went for John Clark.

Thought John Cushley was a good player. That was to let West Ham see him ?

  24. B78

?? What’s it got to do with me as a player or otherwise?

Are you taking this down the line of your previous nonsense about not being allowed to critique a player without coming up with a list of alternatives?

Now are you only permitted an opinion if you played professionally??

It was such a poor decision, after a great piece of play, and is indicative players the lack experience and game intelligence. Thats what comes of buying inexperienced players and if you have too many of them at the same time the balance of team/squad is wrong and you get fractured form……

  25. Didn’t ever witness Mr Cushley playing football but he was a very strict teacher

Managed to get me higher English so he must have been good

My mum was a cleaner at the school and she thought the world of Mr Cushley … pretty sure Big Shuggy from here could tell you a story … he also got me my history higher … a pair of bullies (but terrific teachers) and my mum thought the world of both of them :-)

remember John Cushley going to Madrid with Jimmy mcGrory as translator,in Celtic’s audacious bid to sign Alfredo di Stefano.

  28. Kyogo Furuhashi slammed Celtic ahead with a fine strike from just inside the box

That’s the caption to the photie on the bruttish bc and yet there are 3 buddies between him and the goal
