In Duke Bar. Crown Creighton next, been in there with Almore and a few other bhoys. Good pub.
……………..
The Crown Creighton was my MAIN local Pub when I lived in Dennistoun in Two separate Flats in different era’s, although back in the 1970’s it was known simply as ” The Crown”, with Tommy Keirnan being the owner and a Celtic share holder for many years.
It WAS/IS the ONLY Celtic Pub on Duke Street.
Although the DUKE was mainly full of Celtic fans on Match days. Most other days it was a Hun Pub. I drank in it on some Match Days with my Celtic mates, but I also drank in it with my Ex Hun IN LAWS back in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s.
Hoping to attend the cup game v Hibs on Sunday with my daughter (so need two seats together). Any tips on how to go about this? Online, phone the ticket office?
Thanks in advance for any responses.

I really thought the Celtic women would push on after last season and CL. It seems the opposite and the others have caught up. To be 4th in league in SWPL is not a good look for last years champions.
Good news from Croatia. A last minute equaliser for Hadjuk at Zagreb meant 2-2 and Rejika stay 7 clear with Hadjuk 6 clear of Zagreb at the top. 12 games to go.
In Austria Salzburg equalise at home to Sturm with 18 mins left. Close game but to be fair Salzburg really have the momentum now.

2 goals in 2 minutes for Salzburg so they are edging back into the mix unfortunately.
Really poor effort by Celtic women. Hibs never looked in trouble. I can’t help but think we should either seek to dominate the women’s game and make a difference or not bother at all. The current situation seems to be neither one nor the other.

Our ghirls are not entitled to win anything.
Glasgow City were at the races long beforw we were.
In fact I know many Celtic ST ghirls who still support Glasgow City, the trailblazers.
Lets get serious about this Celtic and support our Ghirls

B78 – thanks for updates from Europe.
Think it’ll be interesting right to the end.
I’m biased maybe but here goes.
I like Sunshine on Leith … but both as a melody and a narrative … The Fields of Athenry is superior.
If it had not been ignorantly and bigotedly tagged as some kind of republican tub thumping anthem by small minded, close minded fools in Scotland …
… it would be given its rightful place.
Personally I think it’s a shame we rarely hear the chorus echoing around Celtic Park like we used to.

We play the Huns on the 16th, probably a marketing thing that Celtic don’t (can’t) control because the deal will have already been done … adidas have the contract and will use this for St Patrick’s day ☘️

Although crests were not worn on Celtic’s famous hooped jerseys, a large shamrock did appear on their change shirts from time to time. The first occasion was during the 1925-26 season, in some games in 1931 and then from 1948 to 1965, this motif became a regular feature of the white shirts with green sleeves worn on the rare occasions that Celtic changed.
That strip is the one I would love to be the change strip even today. I always loved it. Maybe they could change the shamrock to a four leaf clover. One of the first pictures of Jimmy Johnstone shows him in the strip.

We have Let the people sing, Walk on, The Celtic Symphony, Hail Hail and when everybody joins in We Shall not be Moved, plenty rousing songs.

Agreed, Sunshine on Leith is a cracking tune for the footie.
Appropriate as Hibs are well relayed with the area.
Canny think of any songs about the Parkheid area. But as we were born in the Calton we have the Calton Weaver.
BRRB’ would love the chorus.
