Well done the Celts going in ahead against a big physical and lively team on a coo field. Not conditions that play to our strengths. Hat tip to Daizen for his sportsmanship in trying to stay on his feet. And to the two boys for the excellent finishes. Big Scales looking very vulnerable against their CF who is a decent player.

  2. lets all do the huddle on

we are lucky to be ahead.

get scales and vickers up front and launch high balls to them.

them tactics would suit that pitch!

How often do we play hoops v stripes? I’ve been busy complaining that we play in our away strip even when the home strip doesn’t clash and yet here we are.

  4. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

Referee training manual updates for preseason training.

This is “5”. This is “6”.

  5. Taurangabhoy on

Winning ugly and not at our best. Big Casper keeping us in the game. Jeff playing like he wants to stay. Midfield totally aff it. Reo not at the races. Poor to no service up front our shape looks unbalanced. Hopefully Brendan will reset the bhoys at halftime and we can end the game 16 ahead.

  6. Kasper has been brilliant keeping the score at 2/1 if you ask me complacency is the main factor how we are not playing well ,but credit to St Mirren they haven’t sit back, but Celtic need to step up in the second half ,needs must in the summer transfer window

  7. The sign of Champions to be ahead in games when not playing that well. St Mirren playing a physical game. Thought the player who forced Trusty off should have been booked for leading with his arm.

Hopefully Brendan gets us going second half.

  8. Taurangabhoy on

Thought their goal was a brilliant strike but I don’t understand why it was a free kick. St Mirren player ran straight at Scales who took the ball from him before his momentum carried him onto Scales. How is that a free kick?

  9. Yet another poor performance.

We are very lucky to be ahead .

We need more from our midfield , Idah and Khun .

Plus keep our two CH’s together .

    TT

  10. Reo definitely needs a rest. Has been looking jaded for weeks. We definitely miss Bernardo in these physical games.

  11. Interesting game – their forward pairing causing us plenty of problems – much more that our forwards are causing them TBH…..

Two up top worth a try from time to time?

The one thing that irritates me a little with BR and AP before him was the “we play this way” regardless of opposition, conditions, etc. Is that a little arrogant or a little lazy? I don’t know but not a fan of it – the boy up front is very quick so perhaps the high line leave to much space in behind? Pitch is not great so perhaps don’t overplay at the back and invite them on top of us too much? We have far better players yet we’ve given up four big chances – need to be better IMHO

  12. Deserve to be ahead. Riding our luck a little at the back

Scales could be facing a big 45

Lots of players should feel fresh and they’ve not done much yet

    1-3 would be reasonable

  13. Why do we keep passing backwards when they’re pressing….put it over the top ffs….

  14. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    Ho ho ho.

We’ll win the league for sure.

    Problem on a game-by-game basis?

    The players know it.

  15. Really poor.

Next week is massive see but that’s 3 in a row we have been really poor at the start of games.

Lucky our rivals are self destructing.

  16. Our forwards aren’t causing them enough problems….idah off… Jota on and Maeda through the middle….
