Not to worry. I’m sure there must be lots of world-class managers with no ambition just waiting for a call from a like-minded club, where they can be lacerated when they leave, even if they have been successful.
The problem has always been Lawwell and Desmond, their terrible values and the plc structure that enables them to give those values full expression. Everything else is just collateral damage.

We as a club pursued WN and his backroom team. We knew he had no European experience but our custodians thought it competent to appoint him at this stage without a proper transition and introduction to European, British, Scottish football. This is on our custodians.

We paid out some big fees for players he didnt trust or who he called weak as pish and were on a downward slide to nowhere. Not sure we’d back an uncommitted mgr any more than we’d be paying loyalty bonuses to a player looking to leave.

I hope so. I retain doubts obviously but the squad needs re-enforcing without doubt and I can only hope that to bean counters the thought of not doing so costs them more. Just hope he can get a good few in and out and turn this round but its hope more than expectation.

Open up the Bank Account transfer the money and pay up WN and his backroom staff’s contracts, apologise for bringing them over from the US under false pretences. Then ask MON, Maloney and Fotheringham to come back, move Lawell, Nicolson and Tisdale out of the club just for starters, DD apologise to the fans for the Clusterfxck that’s happened and the insults to the fans with your ridiculous statements, invite the GB back, spend a good whack of the cash reserves you’ve been hoarding for over a year to bring in a few players in January. Will this happen? Naw, because this board are a shower of bankers, accountants and lawyers who may be smart, but are hopeless at running a Football Club.

I understand all the structural points about club management, recruitment etc. but the bottom line is we have the best team in the country and will win the league with a half-way competent manager who understands Scottish football. We will not win the league with WN. It is not just three defeats but three disasters and a team that is totally lost with what he wants them to do. He has to go.
I’m reminded of the words Malcolm Tucker said to a newly appointed minister, I’m paraphrasing, ” sack you after a week it looks like we fucked up, sack you after a year, it looks like you fucked up”. Root and branch review required starting at the boardroom.

Timing is one thing this board needs to improve on. The time to get better players in, the time to introduce a new manager, although BR will still meant to be here to be fair, but they could have made the transition to Nancy at a better time. Look how unprepared we are every summer or every window. Not good enough in my opinion.

Anyone watching on Thursday could see the players were completely lost. It could have been 5 or 6 in first half.
No defence to speak of, no one out wide to attack the empty spaces. A total shambles. Same today. The players will soon be in open revolt. This is the team that won 7/8 before WN wrecked a coherent shape.
