    The fuckwits are happy now.

    Can you expand on that?

  2. MOM

Not for me that theory, but the Board have consistently made bad decisions, in any other job they would be sacked but somehow they are kept at Celtic plc, Mr D does pay his execs exceedingly well.

At least tounekti is away to African nations so we won’t have to suffer that at wing back

    ======

He’ll probably play a blinder and help his team win it …😜

    ======

Ok took that to far 😲

  4. Thanks for a couple of replies, I think we all need to look at the football department at this club, no structure, no leadership, and I have zero confidence that anything significant will change soon

  5. ‘@Bada,….Asked the same question.

    Prob same reply …..Zero

Also apologies if my replies ,content were off load..recently

I still can’t get my head around the anger directed towards the Desmonds.

You can’t criticise them for not wanting a return to the way things were in ’94. Does nobody remember what it was like then?

Held back by family dynasty ownership and control; a stale, complacent, out-of-touch board living off past glories but unable to adapt to the changing landscape in the game and a culture of those inside knowing everything best and closed off to anyone from outside who may have ideas on how to take the club forward.

Surely we should be showing our gratitude to Dermot for ensuring that such a nightmare scenario could never be repeated?

  7. Tom McLaughlin

    Agreed.

There was one on the radio 5 there. Claimed he wanted Celtic to lose today and last 20 years had been a disaster.

Entitlement is not just a Celtic problem although we are an extreme example of it. It is a societal problem. We see it with Reform and awe used to see it with Rangers. Sadly it is thriving in our midst.

If the manager and team left in 6 weeks or so I cannot imagine who would want to play for such a bitter entitled so called ‘support’ as we have.

A mob who could not even bring themselves to encourage their own team at a cup final today from the first minute.

The team were crap and the new manager seems to be taking time to get to grips with his utterly shredded squad of players who have zero confidence in themselves…….but surely punters can see moaning and groaning from minute 0 and then shouting about the board is not helping us win.

I do accept there are many like the guy on radio 5 who are so bitter and troubled that they have to project onto a football club which has hithero given them their only association with success in life but wanting Celtic to lose is poor.

    Sums things up brilliantly !

Otherwise, congrats to the Buddies on only their 5th ever major trophy. As for us, a better example of gross mismanagement, at every level, you’d be hard pushed to find. We have matched Gerald Ratner for self implosion.

WN hasn’t had a lot of time to work with the team but from the hearts game to the Roma game to todays game , the players seem to actually becoming less and less sure about their roles . The directional trend is definitely downward and the rate is alarming . This is not teething troubles , this has a terminal look to it .

  10. Maolmuire O Muirgheasa on

Second game in a row where Icheanacho was the star man, playing 45mins on Thurs and 35 today.

    Mmmmmmmmm.

    kt getting it now,

    —-

Him and Iheanacho were our best players today.

  12. Maolmuire O Muirgheasa on

Watching the match today i got an uneasy feeling that St. Mirren were somehow manipulating the FFP rules.

Surely this cannot go uncontested sirs. They must, at once, be brought to book.

  13. We are a crap squad/team and this guy cannot fix it.

    No way forward with him.

Board fully at fault where we are (not).

    How bad is this?

BR, despite his ego; was spot on.

  14. Well done St Mirren

They were better than us in every aspect of the game

As for WN he is making a hard gig worse with his dogmatic attitude

I think the situation is summarised when our captain is called to the touchline

the look on his face sums it up

so on to Tannidice and hope for the best

by the way this board are going nowhere

  15. bournesouprecipe on

Pre match reports of a back four were greatly exaggerated.

Tony Ralston in a back three, isn’t just standing still, it’s going backwards at a rate of knots, and that’s before the game starts. Provincial clubs can overtake when you’re complacent and asleep at the wheel as Celtic were in summer. Inescapable irony that Iheanacho signed after the window closed, was our big hope for the first trophy of the season. WN got the keys to Paradise. but was dealt the same poor hand, as the manager, who told us so, as he spat his dummy, the only semblance of a CF pulled up and hobbled off with another returning hamstring. Kieran Tierney on the half way line trying to get back, is like a nightmare in the rain flashback. Tounekti proved as pointless on the right as he is on the left and Balikwisha at AFCON denies us the other half of £11M squandered.

No point in blaming the shocking weather either, same for for both sides, except if it was a formation it would have been 3-4-3. St Mirren outperformed us, with simple breaking football from a low block. Three knock in training ground goals, sealed our fate in a sieve that’s suddenly more porous. For the third game in a row the second half didn’t improve, it just produced substitutions without impact.

A non scoring Celtic sees us on manager three, in the same season, MON did an incredible turn dragging us to stay in ahem league contention.

So now we have much pined for development Celtic, a manager appointed in time for Christmas, no pre season , none of his own players, because he’ll fit the profile and the system perfectly. The big experimental shift, that is now looking as badly timed, as it was conceived. The next sequence of yet more season defining games start on Wednesday, before WN knows whether it’s New Year or New York.

In fairness, Dermot Desmond usually picks tier one managers, like the one he just sacked, it’s almost as if it were true, that we don’t want to progress. That bizarrely bulging bank balance, that could have bought a whole football club..

A draw in Munich – 3-1 the Mirren

    There’s yer dinner 🥘

  16. A managerial punt with the worst group of players in the last 20 years and people are acting surprised. We sold our 2 strikers and Kuhn which is 60 goals out of the team and used an Exeter City “guru” to revamp the squad.

How many of the current Celtic team would you keep ?

The level of incompetence is breathtaking— this is on Lawwell and Nicholson who convinced DD that Rodgers was the problem.

We now have Nicholson directing operations against fans and fan media including women’s team.

The fans have no option but to ramp it up especially a financial boycott of the club. The greed of the Celtic board is off the Richter scale. It’s the only language they understand.

Lawwell has been the main culprit in this however Michael Nicholsons incompetence is running a close second.

DD asleep at the wheel, RD in the wrong movie.

WN sorry mate you need to go — for your good and the clubs good.

In a parallel universe inhabited by those who believe the board is infallible an elite manager is to blame.

You couldn’t make it up—- well they tried and now they ridiculed.

  17. Anyone know when the last time Celtic lost 4 in a row?

    We’re all about to know.

An absolute joke by our board.

  18. The great dividing line between success and failure can be expressed in five words: ‘I did not have time.’” –Franklin Field

  19. Ucht…….Its only the Skol cup…. Get a grip…🤮🤮🤣

Onwards to Wednesday… cmon the hoops…

Good luck Wilf ….. you’ve been placed in a difficult position, we as Celtic supporters hope you do well 👍

  20. A grim watch

If there are any positives it’s that we have a run of easier games coming up quickly and the opportunity to beat the Huns at theirs to help build a bit of confidence and belief.

I think if Iheanacho stays on pitch we win but thats small consolation given he’ll be out for a while or will need very careful handling.

  21. Burnley78

    Give us a break !!!

    Your pals are the problem.

You are an oblivious a intelligent guy ,so don’t make yourself look a pansy for your pal on the board HH

  22. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

I’m sparing a thought (quite a big one) for Wilfried Nancy tonight.

If you were to bundle up all the negative emotions in play just now?

Frustration, disappointment, anger, rage, bewilderment, pressure, responsibility for failure, evaluation of the difficulty of your personal and professional outlook over the next two months.

Who in the Celtic family has the biggest bundle tonight?

    IMHO, Wilfred Nancy has.

    That’s a guess of course.

I don’t know the size of anyone’s bundle of negative emotions except my own.

Wilfred Nancy can manage a team to become winners.

We know this because he’s done it before.

Obviously, that does not guarantee he can make Celtic winners.

And his chances of doing so get fewer with each bad result … including today.

Regardless, I believe the notion of getting rid of a manager after 3 games and 10 days is ridiculous.

If you think our leadership is dysfunctional?

If WN is canned, you’ll be proven correct.
