I’ve always thought Neil is vastly underestimated by the media.

if sally the pig had achieved half of what Neil has done in his short time huns would be calling for knigthoods.

    gg.

when their cheating titles are stripped I would love to be able to do an effe celebration down the shopfloor.

prob just do a roly poly ;-))

    Typo?

TM’s away record must be 8/10.

dont tell me sallys in a shell suit

try saying that fast five times in a row at shutting time tonight .

they really are the gift that keeps on giving :-)

  4. Manure defense torn apart Keeper saves well.

Apparently that was Rooney’s first goal in the EPL.

    And it was an OG.

I was really pleased to see Kayal back in the team, although he’ll need a few matches to get his A game back.

Loved the technique on Vic’s strike, and the work of Lassad for Hooper’s goal.

Watt had a very good game before he tired, while Hooper has improved his footwork immeasureably in the past season. Interesting to see him playing in the hole today, and thought he did well. Seems to me he is improving with each passing month.

Also liked the midfield shape, although there were too many slack passes from Vic, Kayal and Efe. Barca will murder us if we give them the ball so easily, and then defend in name only. (St Mirren had 5 excellent chances today!)

Wilson pulling a hamstring is a blow for him doubtless, but I’m not sure it weakens our defence any, which should be more of a concern for him.

We have guys in the team who can play very tidy, tight football – Adams, Izzy, Kayal, Ledley for example – and while it goes without saying that Barca should skelp us royally, I’m not particularly worried about the game. If Forster and Hooper have the performances of their short careers, and the rest of the team thinks their way through the game, we could get a credible result.

  6. CG predicting he’ll raise £20m from the share issue, everyone else doubting he’ll raise half that. Which wouldn’t be enough to get Sevco through the rest of the season. It will be armageddon, but only for one club.

  7. bigjie! You’re the mhan!

Thanks for the hi-lites of today’s goals.

I love watching Neil Lennon on these replays. He’s kicking every ball,

making every leap and taking every header,

and then we are blessed with his huge grin!

“Big news coming out of Ibrox. Ally has ditched the suit for a tracksuit. Good grief! – Radio Clyde.”

That’s the Zombies lost all their dignity now…

  12. On the train back to Euston now and despite having been in Glasgow for a couple of days had to make do with watching the first half in a pub and CQN for second half updates.

I attended the Motherwell game recently and thought our speed, movement and passing was something to behold. Same again in that first half. Neil ( and friends ) are building something really special here. One or two wee breaks and they could go very far.

Achieving consistency is a difficult pursuit but I have very confidence that Neil is focused on achieving this. Having grown up in the Stein era this current team/squad are beginning to demonstrate a ruthlessness demonstrated by that magic group of players. Can they achieve the same level of success? I am beginning to believe that now that Neil has found his feet then anything is possible. I am not getting carried away because we trounced St Mirren but any decent evaluation of this team will show that we have quality all over the field. They are playing for one another. They are playing for Neil and much more importantly they are playing for Celtic.

Have been in some interesting company in London over the last week particularly around the administrators mentioned in Downfall and the company who advanced funds on the basis of future ticket sales at Ibrox. The fun is seriously about to start. Fasten seat belts or, if you prefer, stock up on jelly and ice cream- lots of it.

Good luck to the Celts in Barcalona.

Big Efe’s celebration was incredible – but unfortunately only the second best I’ve seen from a Celtic player. /

How amusing was it to hear the Clyde pundits(+Ally) talk up a 2-0 win over jolly old Queens as if it mattered. It’s things like this that remind us how far they have sunk! Is anyone missing the ‘queer folk’? Well done Bhoys. What a good day we have had!
