To be fair, we don’t like that argument (if we got to the EPL) that we’d be relegated right away. You get there and you have a level playing field and a chance to recruit better players.
Then you hope that the transition goes well and your new players settle and you find your level which, to be fair to Leeds, is certainly in the top flight. Look at some of the clubs who have established themselves there, or been there for more than one season…clubs a fraction the size of Leeds.
Happens here too of course, look at Hamilton Accies ffs – 743 fans turned out to see them last night I believe. Yet they are ahead of Hearts, a club pulling in 16k+ every week?!
Its a funny old game and not just about who has the most money/resources as some would have us believe!
