Stunning endeavours on the Ben

614

Absolutely stunning tales of endeavour from those who climbed the tallest peak on these isles yesterday for the Ben Nevis Huddle to raise funds for Celtic FC Foundation.  The Foundation anchors our club to its founding principles, working locally and worldwide towards four goals:

Improve Health
Promote Equality
Encourage Learning

Tackle Poverty

It survives because lots of ordinary Celtic fans step forward, or put their hands in their pockets, because they believe Celtic is a lofty and noble cause.

If you’ve not been able to support any of the climbers direct, inspiration for the event is primarily the responsibility of Mark Cameron, you can find his Foundation linked MyDonate page here.

If you’re in business check out The Celtic Network’s new Service Finder’s opportunity to market to Celtic fans.

Visit the CQN Bookstore to get Tommy Gemmell to sign your personal copy of his book, All the Best.

    HT,

    Fantastic turnout.

Brings an old lump to the throat to see a drum with Plains remembers the Derry Brigade on it.

    In the heart of Creggan..magical.

  3. If we are looking for an experienced, inexpensive (free), centre back to help VVD and any of our youngsters coming through then we could do worse than Brede Hangelaand. Still only 33, European experience, 90+caps and available after being released by Fulham.

  4. I’m supporting – and backing – Argentina.

Think I’ve got relatives there somewhere.

    HH!!

Doing reasonably well so far but trust me – have been smacked on a few results (Spain, Italy and the Germany draw).

The old ‘do or die’ fixtures always throw up decent odds at some point during the game.

    TIMing is everything! :-)

  7. Tricoloured Ribbon: Second Messi. Unlike Robben … Neymar … etc. the wee fellow does not go down no matter how hard he is fouled!

  9. Sky Italia just shown Sammi and Jay.

Still brings a lump to my throat.

    Cmon Sammi!

Best wishes to Jay and his family.

    HH!!

A mad cousin of mine – born in Scotland but lived in Italy for about 30 years – tells me we have relatives in Argentina, even ‘tho she’s never been there or met any of them.

    HH!!

  12. Chicharito complaining about diving and conning refs.

Belly laughs from the fans of every club who played against him.

As you sow so shall you reap.

I take it,one of CQN’s not so finest (BT) wasn’t in.

  14. 15s are too big a price for over 2.5 first half goals.

An outside bet but at that price, you got to have a go.

DOn’t care who wins this so long as they beat Holland next.

  16. Delaneys Dunky 20:58,

Thanks, I just think games like this one are not as predictable as the bookies think.

  17. I hear the English (co) commentator is as biased as ever with his initial comments about Greece stifling the game.

I guess it will give them some comfort if Costa Rica win the thing.

The game has been very open so far and that is good.

I see the Brazilians, ex referee, are blaming Howard Webb’s piss poor performance on a European conspiracy (through FIFA) to make sure that Brazil exit the competition! Naw, he was just shite just like Brazil’s performance.
