What grates with me is that the issue on how to end the Scottish league season is portrayed as an ethical question. If so, ethics are remarkably subjective.
How would I feel if Newco had not imploded (more on that if/when the time comes) so magnificently in the weeks? Pretty upset that they because of the slimmest of leads, they were able to ‘Stop the Nine’ without Celtic having a chance to turn things around. A cherished piece of our narrative over these last nine years would have vanished into thin air.
Conversely, what would Douglas Park have to say on the matter, if Steve Gerrard was able to cope with the likes of Hamilton Accies at home, would he be campaigning for the season to become null and void? Don’t be ridiculous. They would rename one side of the ground the 2020 Stand.
Anyone who claims they would not advocate the exact opposite view, if their team was due to win/lose a league instead of lose/win is a liar or a self-deceiving fool. This is not an ethical question and anyone who suggests it is, is being unethical. It is a pragmatic question:
Will this make you a winner or a loser?
Does this make sense for Scottish football as a whole?
The winners and those without any skin in the game voted Yes. Only losers voted No. If Celtic were behind Newco I would want the league null and void to allow us to win nine-in-a-row next season, for purely selfish reasons, not because a moral authority understood it to be right.
Talking about ethics, respect to Roma players, who have agreed to take no pay for four months, while making up shortfalls in non-player wages from their own pockets. Off the scale ethical standards. More on this, and Celtic player and executive pay cuts, later. Many clubs will fall during the crisis, Roma won’t be one of them.

Glad to see mention of my favourite movie “Once Upon A Time in America” featuring Robert De Niro, James Wood, Joe Pesci and even a very young Jennifer Connolly.
Studio interfered with the distribution due to its running time (my version 3 hours 40 mins) but it wowed 1984 Cannes Festival. Brilliant score from Ennio Morricone and Sergio Leone directed an intriguing enigmatic end to the saga ( he had 10 hours worth of film and wanted 2 x 3 hour movies – the studio released a cut down 139 min version which butchered the film).
Well worth a viewing if you can find a copy. The best “Once Upon a Time in …” by far .

Drove down interstate today to collect my groceries.
On way gas stations were selling regular as low as $1.97 a gallon.
To the point, driving at rush hour roads were quiet with only large trucks and very few cars.
Truckers must be loving the lack of congestion enabling them to drive more miles and earn more money.
To the point at last. My daughter told me that a patient at the hospital where she used to work in ER, was given blood plasma and recovered quickly and was taken off a ventilator.
So the hope for treatments is a real one and not just pie in the sky.

I liked that. Brought a much needed smile.
Discussion with my daughter on the herd immunity theory has left me with a number of questions for the resident epidemiologists.
If we continue to practice social distancing and continue the confinement, are we merely slowing down the full extent of the crisis?
Will the number of casualties be similar but just take longer to reach?
Is there an alternative?
Are the number of cases much higher but unreported because many of those infected had mild symptoms and didn’t identify as ill with the virus?
Have these folks developed immunity and if so can their antibodies be harvested to treat seriously ill patients and or the vulnerable like myself?
Can they be the ones who can first return to work and help create the fabled or perhaps mythical herd immunity?
‘GG…with social distancing…we restrict herd immunity for now…given time we can all come together…whether in peace n harmony is another question

Prediction. Can kicked down the road.
What they should do:
Award titles in any league with greater than 70% games completed.
Title awarded to team currently leading the standings by more than 6 points.👏
Cue hysteria in Govan. 😂

To those of a tory persuasion…
Simple question…
Are PM Johnson and his Tory Govt…”BLAMELESS” for the EXTENT of COVID-19 in the UK ?
A simple YES or NO will suffice.
=============================================================
Ok , Jimmy.
I`ll bite , in spite of the blatantly unreasonable restriction you demand …….
The answer is ” I don`t know ” . ” The Extent ” is a meaningless concept .
Do you mean the spread ?
…………………
I didnt Copy and Paste all of your post…cos you were just repeating yourself in the same post….YAWN.
But, you did ADMIT that you “Didnt Know” ?????
Since you are obviously very unsure about whether the Tory UK Govt are “Blameless” or not…you STILL jump to the defence of PM Johnson and his Mob…
Given the wall to wall coverage of The NHS NOT getting the PROPER PPE…or the time that was wasted by this Tory Mob to act , your still licking Boris’s boots…
Sickening !
Where you upset and in tears when your Queen was “AFFECTED” by the Virus due to a 21 Gun Salute being cancelled….while thousands of her loyal subjects are suffering and dying ?
Chump !

Yes having 1888 on your back could potentially cause problems in some places.

But don’t tell Big Jimmy

I should have known about Hitler etc, as I watch enough Documentaries…however being in self isolation and this is now the start of my 33rd day…there is little or no chance of anyone ( except on here) seeing any HH yesterday.

Don`t buy Chinese .
Because in doing so , you are subsidising totalitarianism .
……………
So you say to everyone DO NOT buy Chinese ?
For the sake of argument…What IF China produced the ONLY Vaccine for this COVID-19 Worldwide and it was properly tested and a 99% success rate was officially recorded…and China was offering this great Vaccine for very little cost…
QUESTION…
YOU…. while suffering from COVID-19…and maybe other members of your family were also suffering…YOU would STILL NOT want to buy or except anything for free from China…so you would tell your Aussie Govt to get lost as YOU an your family dont want to Buy it ?
A simple YES/NO would Suffice…
