Summer business underway as Fojut signed

Celtic tied-up their first piece of business for the summer 2012 transfer window this afternoon by securing Polish central defender, Jaroslaw Fojut, 24, on a pre-contract.  Jaroslaw moved to England straight from school to join Bolton Wanderers, who he made two appearances for, before spending short loan periods at Luton and Stockport.

He moved back to Poland as a 21-year-old and has become a popular player at Polish league leaders, Slask Wroclaw, who knocked Dundee United out of the Europa League qualifying rounds this season in their first European football adventure in 40 years.

I hear he is a solid defender who commands the air well and who is likely to have his best years ahead of him.

How do you see the Classico going tomorrow night.

Are both teams likely to be at full strength , or is the cup not taken as seriously in Spain ?

  3. TET

Players like Bothroyd, Macheda & Wright Phillips wouldn’t enhance our team.

Mk dons went out and played their own game and did it well. They played better football than QPR that’s for sure.

    David Weir?

I`d have him in a heartbeat.

To coach the defence on “attitood” and perhaps to kick the occasional ball in anger.

One in the eye for the currants.

He used to be a hun,but he`s all right now……..etc. etc.

If it was good enough for Jock,it`s good enough for Lenny.

I think they will both want to win, it’s a bit like our derby games in that respect, Real at home, I suppose it depends on the referee, if it was a league game it would be Barca for me.

As it is a two leg affair, next week in Barca I will sit on the fence, I might have a wee nibble, Real are 7/4, Barca 8/5, 23/10 the draw.

    A draw.

Whatever it will be a good night in the bar :>)

I wouldn’t have any of their players.

I thought MK were very unfortunate, much the better team, I can’t believe that I punted what I did on qpr, it would have served me right if I had lost, as it turned out I am over the feckin moon :>)

  10. Weary Dave came to watch our lads in the NextGen – what was that about again? Was it a mates’ son or something?

Incidentally we have been offered Michael Uchebo, 6′ 8″ Nigerian Striker. Same Agent as Ibrahim. The former was on trial at Stoke, liked him but not what they are looking for…

    Keep the Faith!

Thanks for that and your probably right about it being tight as its only the first leg.

Remembered you had a nice lift with Barca in the last league game.

  18. Kojo

I made few comments and don’t know which one is you are referring to? Probably it was Slask Wroclaw spokesman speaking to the press. Never mind.

    Slask Wroclaw boss told later:

“We opened negotiations with Fojut some time ago and they did not go well. We made best offer that we could. Player informed us that he had few other options. We as Slask can’t make as same offers as Celtic. They are big club who can pay more and can make better contract. Another reason that explains Jarek’s decision is that Celtic play regularly in Europe. I can understand his decision.”

Slask boss told that if Celtic are not going to negotiate prompt transfer the player will stay with them until July and will be first choice fefender.

It’s only a few months since you noticed the other pic, but the sweary one on earlier was taken a day after Madison’s 2nd birthday (’twas written on one of her birthday prezzies) and she’ll be three in 20 days (or something).

Don’t worry, you’re no that old yet.
