Sure things don’t exist in football

724

St Mirren lost at Tynecastle in November, their fifth consecutive in the league, but since then they have lost only twice: at Celtic Park and last Saturday, when the roof fell in against Ross County.  During that run they recorded good wins against Dundee United and Motherwell.  They sit second bottom of the league but this is an incredibly tight league.  Saints are as close to bottom Dundee as they are to second top Inverness.  In straightforward terms, St Mirren are a form team.

Anyone who believes Celtic are a sure thing better think again.

Remember the days when it would be impossible to get past 8pm and still not know Montrose earlier took a point at Ibrox? Sign of the times it wasn’t really news, I suppose.

@CelticResearch On the SFA website, his most memorable match, was being in charge of the Rangers legends v Milan. game last season.

It would perhaps have added something to the show, to ask McKendrick about his role as Fourth Official in the “Dougie Dougie match.

Ps Sammi & Gary Hooper to have a field day tomorrow and that is not disrespecting st Mirren ,I just think they are a level above any defence in Scotland.

Charlie Tully was briefly player-manager of Cork Hibs, and also managed Bangor and Portadown.

Thanks – I know I didnt look for the Bangor score c68/9 even though they were my relatives’ local team because CPT managed somebody else.

I am hoping following last season’s disappointing domestic cup results that Neil will have the team fired up to make any potential MIB decisions immaterial to the outcome

Very impressed with how Sammy, Hooper and Lassad linked up a repeat tomorrow and St Mirren will be blown away

Way back .. In my younger days .. I lost count of gold cqn medals … Podiums every time. Spartan posts.. 1000th posts. One Saturday afternoon i recorded 14 consecutive posts .

But with age comes duller reflexes … Poorer concentration levels…. Reduced appetite for the glory.

Good luck with the podium chasing … Its a young mans game ;)

  16. Not knocking Us – but Juve/ Genoa tonight kind of reminds me of the Hibs 1-1 game.

Majority of possession – GK has had nothing to do – strikers have had some better than good chances – but Juve concede from the only chance from open-play that Genoa have enjoyed.

In saying that – Genoa GK Stephan Frey (weren’t we linked with him?) has been excellent for past 77mins.

  17. Well well well, mr Sheils certainly is not backing down from this.

Bringing this out in the open was the sfa’s worsed nightmare.Tonights show has really exposed them..

Will John mckendrick chose to take action on that caller? …he said he has the evidence to back it up.
