SWEDES WILL BATTLE LENNY FOR HENDERSON

CELTIC’S forgotten midfielder Liam Henderson is a loan target for Swedish outfit Ostersunds.

The 21-year-old playmaker is well known to former Hamilton Accies boss Billy Reid, who is assistant manager to Graham Potter at the cub.

Ostersunds are preparing for the biggest game in their history – next month’s Europa League last-32 clash with Arsenal.

Neil Lennon, Alex Neil at Preston and Serie B outfit Bari have also have also expressed an interest in Henderson, who has made just one first team subs’ appearance this season.

The former Scotland Under-21 international, whose contract expires in the summer, has already had temporary deals at Norwegian side Rosenborg in 2015 and Hibs, helping them win the 2016 Scottish Cup, setting up two goals in the 3-2 victory over Sevco Rangers.

The Hibs manager at Hampden that day was former Celtic defender Alan Stubbs and he told the CQN Podcast in October that Henderson would leave Celtic in January either on a permanent transfer or a loan deal as the player wants to play football.
