There is an unusually sombre tempo head of tomorrow’s Champions League last 16 tie, a consequences of the 0-3 reversal at home three weeks ago and the general sentiment around Scottish football this week, but this match is an excellent test for both manager and playing squad.
We are a Champions League team again with aspirations to achieve at this level next season. Having finally overcome the hoodoo of never having won away from home in the competition, we must use occasions like tomorrow to continue our growth in the competition.
We defended our 18-yard line in the Camp Nou and almost got away with a point. The plan was wrong in Lisbon, where a talented Benfica controlled midfield and recorded a narrow win, but the win against Spartak in Moscow was deserved.
Celtic might not be able to qualify for the quarter finals but they can win the match tomorrow; this is an achievable objective which would sweeten the inevitable medicine.

Thursday 5th
The Welfare sent for me today to inform me of my father being taken ill to hospital. Tried to get me to crawl for a special visit with my family. I was distressed about my father’s illness but relieved that he has been released from hospital. No matter what, I must continue.
I had a threatening toothache today which worried me, but it is gone now.
I’ve read Atkins’ statement in the Commons, Mar dheá! (Atkins pledged that the British government would not budge an inch on its intransigent position.) It does not annoy me because my mind was prepared for such things and I know I can expect more of such, right to the bitter end.
I came across some verse in Kipling’s short stories; the extracts of verses before the stories are quite good. The one that I thought very good went like this:

I can ignore the presence of food staring me straight in the face all the time. But I have this desire for brown wholemeal bread, butter, Dutch cheese and honey. Ha!! It is not damaging me, because, I think, ‘Well, human food can never keep a man alive forever,’ and I console myself with the fact that I’ll get a great feed up above (if I’m worthy).
But then I’m struck by this awful thought that they don’t eat food up there. But if there’s something better than brown wholemeal bread, cheese and honey, etcetera, then it can’t be bad.
The March winds are getting angry tonight, which reminds me that I’m twenty-seven on Monday. I must go, the road is just beginning, and tomorrow is another day. I am now 62 kgs and, in general, mentally and physically, I feel very good

This week so far has been a difficult one for all the Celtic family and I mean all. The players that played in tainted leagues the management and indeed the board have all felt shafted by the sleekit ones who gather in secret. However the biggest losers have been the fans especially our own fans.
My advice is to let the dust settle on the LNS situation as I believe we have not heard the last of that little whitewash. The really important thing for the club is to keep winning on the park as the more we win the angrier the uglies get. Their club has no soul it has only a distorted opinion of every one and anyone that is not a bluenose. They could not care less about fairness and sporting integrity it is all about winning and keeping timmy down.
As an example of this my best mate had a brother in law who was an uber bluenose and a member of the secret lot. About 25 years ago this clown when the gabby water was loosening his toungue told my mate that a fellow member of his ludge had just passed his refereeing exam and that there is no way we would ever win while he was ref at a Celtic game. The feckin idiot did not even care whether they won fairly or not just as long as they did and we didn’t.
As I said it is not about sport with them it is a continuation of hundreds of years of bigotry and bile that is the key driver in them. You only have to look at what they are saying about the gobby yorkie and his banning them for signing sectarian songs. It is all on their pathetic web pages.

Was speaking to an ex lawyer earlier, has risen well above being a simple brief, he would not be into football, more of a rugger man, and would bat for the other side, but he is a top man in his field, and hates cheats.
He reckons that if a couple of shareholders got together, they could sue the SFA for a range of things, reckoned a halfwit trainee lawyer would win the case, drive a double decker bus through them was his words.
Rules are in place, if rules are broken, there are consequences, I am sure some of the lawyers who frequent this blog will confirm that the SFA can be sued.
It will probably come down to something like this, as the rest of scottish football seem perfectly happy with being shafted and humiliated in public.
My club are obviously happy with the situation, they have everything to lose by doing nothing, they have everything to gain by taking a stance against the cheats.
I can totally understand people who say they won’t be back, or pay into a corrupt game, and if the club are happy with being cheated, having what is rightfully theirs stolen from them, humiliated in public, mocked by the msm, they deserve everything they get.
Leadership is what’s required, and if the club have to hit rock bottom for someone to get rid of the cowards who are running the club, so be it.
