‘TAKE ME TO YOUR PARADISE!’ CELTIC TARGET GOES AWOL

CELTIC target Henry Onyekuru has gone AWOL from Belgian side KAS Eupen.
The 19-year-old striker accused club chiefs of trying to railroad him into changing his agent and moving to CSKA Moscow.

Missing from the Eupen squad which drew 2-2 with Standard Liege in the Jupiler League last night, the pacy frontman was reported to be the subject of a £1million move by the champions earlier this month.

His club insisted the teenager was not for sale during this window and chief executive Christoph Henkel claimed he was too good for Scottish football.

Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig and Turkish giants Fenerbahce have also been linked with the player who has scored 10 goals this season.
Onyekuru explained his decision to absent himself from training and games by saying: “Eupen are acting funny on my transfer. They are frustrating me and my agent for their own interest.

“They promised to let me move in January if I have a good offer, now there are good offers, but they now want me to sign for their own agent, before I move and they want me to sign for CSKA Moscow which I am not interested in.

“This is unfair and not acceptable.”
For an increasing number of good players, Glasgow is the place to be.
