I can remember a few comfortable wins at Tannadice but only when Celtic have played at their very best. Even good Celtic teams have found Dundee United a handful for over 30 years. Tomorrow will be no different.
I watched some of United’s League Cup game against Hearts on Wednesday, it’s hard to figure out where Peter Houston is taking them, but they remain recognisable as Dundee United, they are skilful and play a fast, passing, game. In many respects, they are the perfect domestic opponent to face before meeting Barcelona.

A huge congratulation to my young nephew ( mini ACGR ) who won the junior golf championship at carnoustie today 3 & 2.
well done that bhoy. He’s a much better golfer than his Da, but he’s got a wee bit of catching up on his uncle Pedro when it comes to fitba.
Tell him congrats mate i play golf myself and i know how hard it is.

Was at a function in thistle hotel this time last year and got talking to john Robertson ( 121 ) and got a great insight to the guy. Asked him how MOM was so successful in delivering improvements in teams and he told me that MOn would look at what he had in his squad and buy players who would, not only improve the skill of the squad, but enhance the capability of those players he had inherited.
Talked for a good 30 minutes, great guy very down to earth. Asked home why he was not going to Sunderland, apparently kids studying in Nottingham and he decided to stay there for his family. Lovely, lovely man.

He’s 16 and to be honest i’m not sure what his handicap is at the moment, if ACGR is lurking he can let us know…….He’s about 5ft 8/9 thin as a pole, eats like a horse and hits the ball a mile, great to watch, very elegant, so proud of him.

To win the junior match play is no mean feat, especially at only 16.
If he sticks in, you never know, but now he has won a major trophy, things will only get harder for him, he will be the one they all want to beat.
My young fella was a natural, then he discovered the opposite sex, and just wasn’t interested any more.
