Tantric Tuesday

908

After yesterday’s action-packed fast moving day in the political world that is Scottish football today has been Tantric Tuesday as Rangers administrators, Duff and Phelps, took their time and examined all areas in consultations with players over redundancies.  Gregg Wylde and Mervan Celik left the club early afternoon as the first hard consequences of years of abundant excesses manifested, leaving Duff and Phelps joint administrators locked in talks with the rest of the players.  No one can accuse them of not working for their £600 per hour per head.

I would like to be the first to congratulate Aberdeen on winning the treble in season 1992-93. An outstanding achievement.

    Mmm.

The Mayan calendar was referring to the exposure of Hun FC and all the evil masonry around it?? :)))

  2. Fortunes Favour Mibbes,

I should have explained things a bit better.

That website is run by a married couple, IMO, they are very good radio hosts and ferret out the big websites disinformation pretty good.

The exoteric reason for the 2012 crap has been emblazoned for all to see.

    Petec,

The 2012 stuff is miniscule compared to everything else though eh?

The misinformation is the gift to those who need the truth obfuscated. But it’s also a gift to the rest of us, as it makes us (and the next generations) realise that to find the truth, you need to research it yourself.

We’re actually moving onto enlightened times, though I’d be the first to say there are many forces trying to restrict that….and they would be the usual suspects.

  4. Fortunes Favour Mibbes,

You have to realise, although Celtic fans are exposing things, we are highly trained in spotting bullcrap. There is no other support being so educated because of the nefarious goings on of the dark forces. Theres always a positive to a hard time.

We have been enlightened to the dark things going on but trust me, we are not, as human beings, becoming more enlightened. I know for a fact that most older (+20) people than me are smarter and more knowledgable and despite what MSM tries to project the populace is being dumbed down on a General level.

    ;)

That, my friend, is an excellent post !

I especially liked “we are highly trained in spotting bullcrap” :)))

So true. We are a powerful force for good !

It’s not really appropriate to use the words that would fit better.

CQN is a very special place and should be treated with the greatest of respect.

    FFM,

This CQN town is so powerful and it is my view that all the Charity work done by this site when we were winning nothing will lead us back to the top of Europe once more.

    Administrators axe Gers players

SunSport can reveal the Hoops hierarchy mulled over a sensational swoop yesterday after Wylde became the first victim of Rangers’ administration.

But Wylde, 20, killed that prospect stone dead.

He said: “There’s NO CHANCE I would sign for Celtic. The last thing Sandy Jardine said to me before I left was ‘Don’t ever sign for Celtic!’.

“It’s something I would never consider.

“I don’t want to be disrespectful but I don’t think that’s something I could ever do to Rangers.

“The Rangers fans have been great to me, especially since the decision was taken that I should leave.

“I wouldn’t want to turn my back on them.

“How could I leave Rangers when they are in this state and go and sign for their big rivals?

“I just don’t see how it’s something I could consider.”

Ironically, Wylde was on the Hoops’ youth books until 2005 when he left the club for Rangers.

Hoops boss Neil Lennon is a big admirer of Wylde and the major question he needed answered before making a move was if Wylde would be prepared to cross the big Glasgow divide again.

The no-nonsense Celtic gaffer has already shown in his time in charge that the bitter rivalry with Rangers is NOT a barrier to his transfer thinking.

Some 14 months ago he pounced for gifted young Gers midfielder Dylan McGeouch who, like Wylde, had also started his career at Celtic.

Wylde is expected to be granted permission from the football authorities to immediately resume his career given the exceptional circumstances of his Ibrox exit.

Wylde was one of Rangers’ key players in the 2-1 League Cup Final triumph over Lennon’s Celtic a year ago.

That helped to win him a new five-year deal with Rangers but now his Ibrox career is over and he sighed: “I’ve been amazed by the reaction, especially from the people across the city.

“I heard Charlie Mulgrew talking about me at Celtic’s press conference.

“I know him pretty well. His family are friends with mine so we’re pretty close.

“To hear him coming out with stuff like that was brilliant. It gives me a boost to hear the things he had to say.”

  13. NEIL LENNON MURDER PLOT

I can’t post the link as it’s too wide, though if you check this address you should find it.

    http://www.causes.com/causes

The trial of two men accused of plotting to kill Neil Lennon has been shown photographs of a package addressed to the Celtic manager.

The High Court in Glasgow heard the A5-sized parcel raised suspicions at a Royal Mail office in Kirkintilloch when a nail burst through it.

Trevor Muirhead, 43, and Neil McKenzie, 42, are alleged to have sent suspected parcel bombs to Mr Lennon, QC Paul McBride and former MSP Trish Godman.

They deny all the charges against them.

Police officers told the jury the package had contained a cloudy liquid, nails, wire and a digital watch face.

One told the court they had judged the device was not viable as there was “no evident detonator” or sufficient power source.

A Royal Mail depot manager in Kirkintilloch, East Dunbartonshire, told the court the package – which was addressed to Mr Lennon at Celtic’s nearby training ground at Lennoxtown – was not franked, did not have enough postage and had no postcode.

Kim Riddoch, 44, told the court she noticed the package, which only had one first class stamp on it, was too heavy to reach its destination as it had been underpaid.

She said the underpayment should have been detected by staff at the mail centre in Glasgow, where every item of mail in the west of Scotland is dealt with before being sent to local sorting offices for delivery.

She also said the franking process, which marks the date on a package, should have been done at the Glasgow centre.

    Explosive substances

Donald Findlay QC, representing Mr McKenzie, asked Ms Riddoch: “So it is possible, I suppose, that this package entered the mail system at a later stage than, say, being put through a post box or paid for at a post office?”

She replied: “That is not impossible.”

PC Gemma Currie, 30, gave evidence about the contents of the package.

She said it held a small bottle containing a cloudy liquid, 43 nails, wire and a digital watch face.

Ms Currie told the jury there was a slight smell of petrol or diesel.

PC Grant Wilson, who has had counter-terrorism training, also gave evidence about opening the package.

He said the wire in the package was connected to bottle containing milky liquid, with the other end attached to a very small digital display.

The 31-year-old officer said it had been judged that the device was not viable.

    Endanger life

The court has also heard details of a “suspicious” package addressed to Trish Godman MSP which was said to be “similar” to one sent to Mr Lennon.

Evelyn Campbell, 64, the Labour MSP’s personal assistant said the package arrived “with a thud” at her constituency office in Bridge of Weir, Renfrewshire, on 28 March 2011.

Ms Campbell told the court the package was “heavy, unusual, and smelled of glue”.

She said after she started to open it a wire fell out with “a device” attached.

The two accused are charged with conspiring to assault and murder Neil Lennon, Trish Godman, Paul McBride and occupants of the Cairde na h’Eireann offices by sending them devices they believed were capable of exploding.

It is also alleged that they bought nails, envelopes, travel bottles and digital sports watches at two shops in Stevenston, Ayrshire, and induced another man to buy cream peroxide.

The pair face an alternative charge that they conspired to cause an explosion “likely to endanger life or cause serious injury to property”.

They are further charged with possessing explosive substances; threatening behaviour including a specific threat to set off a bomb outside a police station; and of disposing of an explosive substance that could have been used as evidence against them.

  18. RANGERS stars erupted in anger last night as they accused the club’s administrators of LYING.

Senior Ibrox stars openly clashed with administrators Whitehouse and Paul Clark, who had claimed the players were holding up a deal that would save jobs at Ibrox.

Steven Whittaker and Stevie Naismith were last to leave Murray Park late last night, after Clark and Whitehouse had earlier accused them of being the only ones stalling things for the whole squad.

That was despite skipper Steven Davis and several other stars also refusing to sign up to any deal, as the administrators failed to give any concrete guarantees for the future.

Davis had left earlier in the day, but was seen speeding back in to demand an explanation from the Duff and Phelps’ duo about their claims. Ffs

The administrators then insisted they got their information from Ally McCoist, but when the Gers boss was quizzed he denied the claims.

In a further twist, Clark and Whitehouse also claimed they couldn’t agree to reduced sell-on fees for the summer transfer window in return for players’ slashing their wages. They claimed HMRC could take them to task for artificially reducing the value of Rangers’ assets.

But first team stars now want to hear that from the taxman themselves.

Yesterday’s spats mean the players have now lost massive amounts of confidence in Clark and Whitehouse and the pair face a huge amount of work to win first team stars over.

Angry players want guarantees there will be no job losses if they agree to forego up to 75 per cent of their wages until the end of the season.

Whitehouse had blamed players’ agents for blocking a pay-cut agreement.

Whitehouse said: “This has been a very frustrating day. Earlier we believed we had agreed in principle a basis for cost-cutting measures with the players accepting substantial pay cuts.

“Sadly this evening we have been unable to reach agreement on the personal conditions sought by the agents to the players in respect of wage cuts.

“There is still hope these issues can be resolved tomorrow, but it is disappointing it could not be done tonight.”
