Tantric Tuesday

908

After yesterday’s action-packed fast moving day in the political world that is Scottish football today has been Tantric Tuesday as Rangers administrators, Duff and Phelps, took their time and examined all areas in consultations with players over redundancies.  Gregg Wylde and Mervan Celik left the club early afternoon as the first hard consequences of years of abundant excesses manifested, leaving Duff and Phelps joint administrators locked in talks with the rest of the players.  No one can accuse them of not working for their £600 per hour per head.

I would like to be the first to congratulate Aberdeen on winning the treble in season 1992-93. An outstanding achievement.

A BBC reporter tweeted no player movement today…. but they’ve been wrong before.

  2. That telephone call to Whyte was not a good advert for Tesco mobile network.

Interesting to see how the Dundee Utd scenario pans out – I can envisage that they will eventually get their money through the SFA coffers rather than Rangers.

I have a lot of sympathy for DU in this situation – but in effect, every other club (including themselves) will be funding a payment on behalf of the huns. They are a permanent disgrace…

  4. I watched a couple of those clips of Charlie Nicholas watching the arsenal game. For me it was one of the most cringeworthy 30 seconds of tv footage ive ever seen. If that’s what he has to do to stay in employment at sky then fair play, times are tough

  7. I would have thought that the other clubs in Europe which have missed out on winnings, opportunities etc… due to playing TFOD might be interested in engaging UEFA to fully investigate these events.

Might be worth dropping them a line….

‘The administrators have to take charge and do their job. It’s almost as if there is a reason for making all of this last so much longer than it really should.’

It’s fairly obvious Whyte would want to keep the show on the road until the FTT tribunal result is made known. That way he can, with justification, blame David Murray for the huns going bust.

The Administration is a dripping roast to Duff & Phelps so they too want to keep the thing going for as long as they can get away with. They know the game’s a bogey and the outcome is inevitable. On liquidation they’ll get paid, the secured creditor will get paid and anyone else is on to plums. In effect HMRC (ie us) are paying for the whole farce. We’re paying the huns wages and their entire running costs and we’re paying Duff & Phelps.

    Us. We’re paying for it.

So Dave King is going to sue David Murray for 20M and he’ll put it all back into Zombie Rangers.

So how many years will that court case take and where would Rangers be at the end of that?

    Is that the warchest?

This is becoming more of a farce by the day.

Three points to improve the game:

    1) Bring back the Jungle – standing area’s.

    2) Reduce admission prices to, £10 per seat – £5 for standing.

    3) Guinea-pig our game for, no drawn game – straight to penaltie’s.

  26. We have the white Knight (who lives in a Castle) and HMRC are saying ”just write a Cheque Mate”, Then there’s King, who was on the Board, but it’s not as Black and White as it seems. The players appear to have reached a Stalemate with the admins who are acting on behalf of the Queen. The fans, meanwhile, are just Pawns in all of this. Where does the Bishop come in I wonder?
