Tantric Tuesday

908

After yesterday’s action-packed fast moving day in the political world that is Scottish football today has been Tantric Tuesday as Rangers administrators, Duff and Phelps, took their time and examined all areas in consultations with players over redundancies.  Gregg Wylde and Mervan Celik left the club early afternoon as the first hard consequences of years of abundant excesses manifested, leaving Duff and Phelps joint administrators locked in talks with the rest of the players.  No one can accuse them of not working for their £600 per hour per head.

I would like to be the first to congratulate Aberdeen on winning the treble in season 1992-93. An outstanding achievement.

If doncaster and his cohorts get their way and a newco is warmly welcomed back into the spliquidation league ,could celtic go to Uefa with a vote of no confidence in the spl and apply for special dispensation to move to another league .

Funnily enough I would probably have taken Cuellar at the time, however, and I know you’ll disagree, I don’t think he’d get a game with us now.

Does this mean there will also be no hun legends team?

I posted it at 8.30am when I heard, plenty of new articles since then…

just waiting on my mate getting back to me…

I visited this morning on seeing your post….of the 3 buildings (2 adjoined by corridor), the oldest part (ex-chapel) has its walls up and was being dampened down. The ‘modern part, and annex building are totally destroyed.

With 50-60 ft open space between modern and annex buildings it seems to be 2 seperate fires.

If you know the area, the fire was to the western buildings, the refurbished chapel and new house are OK.

I doubt this arson will be reported properly.

  10. I saw Andrew Little come home tonight (he lives across from me) looking utterly dejected. Despite myself I do feel for the young players like him who will probably feel like they are about to have the rug pulled from under them. But I’m sure he’ll get another club. I have a GIRUY attitude to neds like McCulloch, Broadfoot, McGregor, Naismith etc.

One point keeps croping up –

TFOD stalwarts and court appearances – pleading poverty to try and keep the fine down.

Does anyone have the detail on this?

AG / LA / NN have been mentioned.

I think some of the young team also tried the same trick.

Consequently any info / news on this would be appreciated.

It would be a huge help in building up a detailed picture of who was involved and when though you have to ask why this was not highlighted at the time.

perhaps I have spent to much time with the cynical T4, but what if this is a con?

The players agree to a pay cut and become a free agent from Toxic Rangers at the end if the season. This always the Toxic people to continue until the end of the season Big Tax Case permitting.

Toxic Rangers then die, and the Phoenix rises from the flames NewcobutnohistoryRangers with no debt, voted into the SpHell, and picks up said players on free transfers.

Step back and think, are they still trying to do side agreements?

  18. @RalphWaldo

To me- it means that representatives of the SPL clubs have to vote in favour by a huge majority before the board are allowed to consider whether “newco” be given the share of the now defunct Rangers.

I’m no lawyer but that is how it reads and that is how others- notably STV interpret it here:

    http://sport.stv.tv/football/scottish-premier/rangers/299894-qa-how-a-newco-can-enter-scottish-football/

    Who decides?

A ‘company in general’ meeting would be held, involving representatives from the remaining 11 member clubs of the league. A qualified resolution would have to be passed via a 90% majority vote, or ten out of 11 clubs, before the matter is referred to the board for a final decision.

The SPL board consists of Ralph Topping (SPL chairman), Neil Doncaster (SPL chief executive), Eric Riley (Celtic), Stephen Thompson (Dundee United), Derek Weir (Motherwell) and Steven Brown (St Johnstone). Topping has the casting vote in the event of a split decision.

Providing final approval is granted, the share will be sold to the newco for £1. The old club will immediately cease to be a member of the SPL, and the newco would become a member in its place.

Davis is a nasty piece of work.

He looks to have finished Mark Wilson’s Celtic career with nasty off-the-ball tackle in the last minute at Ibrox.

I was watching the game on Sky,and listening to commentary on Shortbread..

The cameras had followed play and missed the incident ,close to the right corner spot..

However,Roddy Forsyth’s commentary was as follows…”I can’t believe that…that was a nasty piece of work by a player that you wouldn’t associate with that sort of thing. Just the sort of tackle that can finish another player’s career….”.

Of course,Mark needed surgery on his knee after this incident, and has not played since.

Additionally, the fact that the result was already assured when the incident occurred only emphasises the spiteful nature of Davis, who is afforded 24 carat protection by the MIBs .

Why would anyone think that liquidation was not the idea of CW all along .

Minty tried for yrs to punt that dead duck and no one even stepped onto the dance floor ,then up pops the carpetbagger with a solitary quid and Williams yer auntie .

The real interested parties are waiting in the wings to ride to the rescue when all the dues are bumped .Well if 20yrs of cheating is proven what would another one matter .,hence the media and peepil in high places sorting out the entry into the top league .

Just as there would be nobody daft enough to buy them with creditors needing paid and no revenue streams that had not been hawked ,there would be nobody daft enough to bankroll them from the 3rd division .

So a wee message to the rest of the mugs in the Scottish football fan base ,just shut up and keep paying your money like you have been the last 20 odd years and be glad you have the great dignified Glasgow rangers to compete for titles and cups .
