TAUNTS AS ANGE SUFFERS RETURN SETBACK
ANGE POSTECOGLOU suffered taunts from the Arsenal fans as he watched Nottingham Forest collapse 3-0 at The Emirates this afternoon.
The former Celtic boss was making his return to the game after being sacked by Spurs at the end of a Europa League-winning season.
However, the Greek-Aussie was fired due to the London’s club’s lowly position in the Premier League.
And the home support took time out from watching their team dominate this contest to chant: “Are you Tottenham in disguise?”
Postecoglou’s anguish began in the 32nd minute when Martin Zubimendi thumped Mikel Arteta’s team into the lead with a ferocious first-time volley from outside the box following a right-wing corner-kick.
And the visitors were in deep trouble just one minute after the turnaround when Viktor Gyökeres tucked away a left-wing cross from close-range for No.2.
Zubimendi headed in to complete a personal double in the 79th minute to seal a miserable comeback for the ex-Hoops favourite who took over the team on Tuesday after Nuno Espirito Santo had been axed.
There is much work ahead for Postecoglou judging by his new team’s display at The Emirates.
