MIKAEL LUSTIG and Nir Bitton return to Celtic’s squad for tonight’s Champions League tie against Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Swedish defender and the Israeli midfielder sat out Saturday’s 2-0 home win over Motherwell after returning from the international break carrying knocks.
Tom Rogic is also in contention for a start he was rested for the victory over Mark McGhee’s side following a long journey home following two games for Australia.3693
Monchengladbach, of course, will be without Brazilian forward Raffael (hamstring), Danish defender Andreas Christensen (backside), Belgium’s Thorgan Hazard (knee) and USA international Fabian Johnson (a wee cold) are all ruled out and have not travelled with the remainder of the squad to Glasgow.

The two clubs will meet again at Gladbach’s Borussia Park stadium in a fortnight.

The game has been dubbed ‘the battle for third place’ in Group C with both teams behind Manchester City and Barcelona, who play each other at the Nou Camp this evening.

Celtic can go four points ahead of their Bundesliga foes with a victory to set them up for the return on November 1.
If Barcelona beat City home and away, and that is possible, and Celtic can take their best chance of picking up three points tonight then Celtic will head to Germany thinking that a result there could leave them thinking about second place!
