Templar of Doom

1242

I took a nasty Pavlovian reaction today when I heard the radio announce “Derby day” before realising the presenter was talking about the actual Derby.  The last thing anyone planning a night out in Glasgow is the ‘Glasgow derby’, as it was known in its final few years.

As anyone walking the streets of Glasgow and beyond in peace tonight will testify, we don’t want it or miss it.  I prefer my football, like my streets, without this nonsense.

Knights Templar sequestrated?  Blame those “enemies”.  George Peat, Campbell Ogilvie and Lex Gold forced through his appointment as SFA chief executive, despite him not meeting selection criteria.  As every wise footballer knows, know your level.

The magnificent framed Lionel Messi top we are auctioning for 1254125 has less than two days to run, keep an eye on it here.

Copies of Willie Wallace’ autobiography, Heart of a Lion, have been flying off the shelf.  The mail order fulfilment centre will have stock replenished on Monday after running out.  Order your copy below – still time for Father’s Day.

made the mistake of listening to Richard Wilson on 5Live about an hour ago. Bitter, bitter man. An obviously prepared Q&A had us selling FF, Hooper & Big Vic. Dick thinks that Vic is a bolt on for Stoke. When asked if Celtic was now a selling club he replied that both Celtic and deidco share a long-term strategy of buying young talent and selling on for profit. As far as I know deidco have not made a sale to anyone. Players have left for better deals, but no sales. Who gets the money if Goian or McGregor is sold? Is it the new club or the new company which owns the new club? Given the new club’s indebtedness to the new company I would imagine that the chairman would point out that the dosh will not be made available for fees/salaries.

Incidentally, does anyone know what the festering pile of bricks down Govan way is to be renamed? Maybe Chuckles is waiting for the ST sales before he drops that particular bombshell.

Rumour has it that a company specialising in manufacturing all sizes of metal containers has bought the naming rights. Apparently it’s to be called the Vat2can Dome!

Agree, every successful club has to sell in order to create competition within the squad. My problem is that the MSM use the term ‘selling club’ in relation to Celtic in a negative, derogatory way.

Dick’s assertion that Vic would settle for Stoke is a case in point. He stated that Celtic would be compelled to accept any offer.

His reporting is informed by bitterness and spite.

  16. thebhoywithmcgraininhisside on

Or ignorance, spit and a whistle.

Thing is, consistently now for a couple of years “journalists” have next to no clue what we will do transferratorially. (is that a word?) Therefore they make excrement up. I think there is a better chance of me, wooden leg notwithstanding boom boom, playing for hughes at stoke than there is of victor rocking up there.

A wee tune directed at an audience of two. The SFA and the sfa. I believe the latter to be the Blazers currently occupying Hampden. The former? The SFA? The Real SFA are the community of customers from a variety of clubs throughout the country who organized to say ENOUGH, in the summer of 2012. That collective Fitba community face challenges again this summer, once again from Campbell et al.

    Anyways…. A song for both parties….

Roll on the Future of both the SFA and the sfa..

01:10 on 3 June, 2013Summai would have been about 17, and traveled from the NE to Glasgow for a cup final, got separated from all my mates, decided to take the tube thing to hampdump, big mistake, someone saw that I had a green and white scarf, and was nearly thrown off the train. The reason I wasn’t, was a big bear saw what was happening and took me under his wing and saw them off, he got a few digs and kicks for his problems, but he saw me off the train, and took me to the Celtic end, saw me safe, a gentleman, he took a risk, big time he did.Good men are out there, well I know it……….Just a shame that the people who run the game are not of the same ilk.

When I was about 13, first game against the huns, my dad got two tickets from a mate in Aberdeen, main stand CP. When they got half the stand, my dad me and my wee Celtic scarf on, seated right in the middle of them. You know hardly a word said, I remember getting a few friendly pats on the head and wee bits of banter, was fine. Half time and one nil down, I went to get the pies, popped up to the Celtic support and up the steps to see, two guys seated, CR Smith tops on, scarfs and badges, right in the middle of the Celtic support, went back to me Dad, we went up and the two guys looked more relieved than us as we swapped seats.

Now we scored to equalise, Paul McStay…. finished a draw, on the way back to the car, which my Dad had strategically parked and coming down Kerrydale we were met with the hordes coming from the Rangers end, oh a mighty error, no pats on the head this time as some big bear made to punch me and I got called some choice words, my Dad grabbed me and we jointly, in tandem, decided to take the wee scarfe off…

Little did I know then that the man who scored the goal for the Rankers would pop up in years to come and lead them to oblivion, nice one Sally revenge is sweet lol
