Templar of Doom

1242

I took a nasty Pavlovian reaction today when I heard the radio announce “Derby day” before realising the presenter was talking about the actual Derby.  The last thing anyone planning a night out in Glasgow is the ‘Glasgow derby’, as it was known in its final few years.

As anyone walking the streets of Glasgow and beyond in peace tonight will testify, we don’t want it or miss it.  I prefer my football, like my streets, without this nonsense.

Knights Templar sequestrated?  Blame those “enemies”.  George Peat, Campbell Ogilvie and Lex Gold forced through his appointment as SFA chief executive, despite him not meeting selection criteria.  As every wise footballer knows, know your level.

The magnificent framed Lionel Messi top we are auctioning for 1254125 has less than two days to run, keep an eye on it here.

Copies of Willie Wallace’ autobiography, Heart of a Lion, have been flying off the shelf.  The mail order fulfilment centre will have stock replenished on Monday after running out.  Order your copy below – still time for Father’s Day.

I do wonder at what point loyalty becomes stupidity. It is certainly a powerful manipulation tool.

Better and worse players than Richard Dunne have been ridiculed on cqn..

My quip was a lighthearted ref to his og record. Obviously he has had a good career but Celtic is not a retirement home for players who have moved to the latter stages of their career.2

I’m wondering when someone’s going to ask them what they mean by “We are the people” given that it appears to be an officially endorsed club slogan.

There were a couple of pictures on Twitter of the Corpus Christi procession passing the Rosevale Bar in Partick.

Some bigots stood outside with a bedsheet daubed with paint expressing something against ‘Rome’.

I agree. To whom was a Board member of The Rangers referring? Would he care to clarify?

Was it to any members of the SFA or SPL or SFL.

Im using phone so cannot copy and paste the article and send it to Vincent Lunny asking those questions. Maybe some will.

McCoist said it live on air and wasn’t questioned about the significance of such a statement. Everyone knows what he’s referring to and who the target audience are (The Underbelly of civilisation). However, I actually find the statement in itself quite laughable more than anything else. It’s a statement that lacks logic… What defines a member of ‘The People’? Stupid Huns..

    The Rosevale .

Does The Cardigan still have a financial involvement with the Rosevale..?

Craig Mather assures fans that Rangers will strike back at enemies

RANGERS’ interim chief executive Craig Mather insists the Ibrox outfit will never forget those who tried to damage the club.

Craig Mather praised fans for sticking by the Rangers in the Third Division

Mather has also vowed the Gers will hit back against their detractors, but only when the time is right.

He told fans at the NARSA convention in San Francisco: “There will be times when you want us to tackle our enemies and it will seem like we’re somehow reluctant to do so or that we don’t care. You might believe we don’t feel hurt to the same extent as you, but we do.

“Sometimes you have to wait. We’ve chosen and we will continually choose the right moment to strike.

“Please, never believe that I or any other directors don’t know the names of the people who have tried to damage this club. We know them all.

“We know what each one’s tried to do and I can assure you we will never, ever forget about that.”

    Craig Mather

Mather praised the fans for sticking by the club in the Third Division – and believes, with their continued support, that they will get back to the top.

He said: “Rangers are on their way back, make no mistake about that. I don’t believe this club can be deflated because I’ve seen you people in action and I’ve felt the passion you have for Rangers.

“I’ve marvelled at the number of people who have turned up week after week in the Third Division. It has been absolutely fantastic.

“I’m truly humbled to be among you and to be part of the rebuilding at Rangers. Without you, the club would have gone under.

“We’ve had to fight through some very difficult times but you are, by far, the best supporters any club could ever have.”

  16. Amongst all the discussion of the ASA response, the last sentence confirmed once and for all that they may have history, but it belongs to the Oldco (which is in the process of being liquidated). Therefore, it is indisputable that they are a Newco their 1 year old history consists of winning the SFL 3rd Division – nicht wahr?

“We therefore concluded that it was not misleading for this ad to make reference to RFC’s history, which was seperate to that of Newco.”

An incredibly left footed midfielder – small lightweight, players not my thing.

But if it was Johnny Russell he’s cheaper and more of a goal threat.

  20. If any Celtic board member or Director came away with that statement Craig Mather just done at the NARSA Convention, the SFA,SPL,SFL, would be all over them, that is nothing short of an attempt to start a riot, he should be made answerable to some one, who? I do not know but can not be saying stuff like that in this modern day, when will this mob get in the 21 Cent. we are being told time after time with all this Sevco carry on “it’s time to move on lets all move on” how the hell are we supposed to move on when this clown comes away with statements like that, boggles the mind honestly.
