Templar of Doom

1242

I took a nasty Pavlovian reaction today when I heard the radio announce “Derby day” before realising the presenter was talking about the actual Derby.  The last thing anyone planning a night out in Glasgow is the ‘Glasgow derby’, as it was known in its final few years.

As anyone walking the streets of Glasgow and beyond in peace tonight will testify, we don’t want it or miss it.  I prefer my football, like my streets, without this nonsense.

Knights Templar sequestrated?  Blame those “enemies”.  George Peat, Campbell Ogilvie and Lex Gold forced through his appointment as SFA chief executive, despite him not meeting selection criteria.  As every wise footballer knows, know your level.

The magnificent framed Lionel Messi top we are auctioning for 1254125 has less than two days to run, keep an eye on it here.

Copies of Willie Wallace’ autobiography, Heart of a Lion, have been flying off the shelf.  The mail order fulfilment centre will have stock replenished on Monday after running out.  Order your copy below – still time for Father’s Day.

Think both strikers . League 1 teams i think.

Paddy madden played for bohs i ireland i think, havent saw him play since then.

Tell me we are not interested in buying them ?

  2. a wee story that might be relevant..

Some years back i worke for royal mail..we finished At 11am on a sat. Big hun m8 says the “big walk” was at the green today,so i thought better get down high st.asap. Gets through the lights at glasgow cross and the four sets before it no bother..tension building as i get through the lights after the railway bridge at the shipbank..then two cops step out from either side of high st.and stop the traffic…aaaahhhhhgg f#@k!! My m8’s are in the car in front..they got stoped as the first car..ones a hun the other a harry rag.so theyre both looking round at me laughin like two meercats(not the words at the time)damm 30mins stuck right in the middle of them..before i know it the zombies are all round my car banging off it as they stagger with their cans off calleys an two bob wine,i said to the cop who passed by my drivers window..”anychance you can stop them banging off my car?”..im wearing a royal mail blue n red uniform by the way..matched in well i hear you say lol..”shut it or your gettin lifted!” says the cop..never been so angry in my life!!the feeling of having to endure the hatred of their “music”was bad enough but to be spoken to like that was diabolical and an eyeopener for me..never lived it down from they two in the car in front either..

Amongst all the discussion of the ASA response, the last sentence confirmed once and for all that they may have history, but it belongs to the Oldco (which is in the process of being liquidated). Therefore, it is indisputable that they are a Newco their 1 year old history consists of winning the SFL 3rd Division – nicht wahr?

“We therefore concluded that it was not misleading for this ad to make reference to RFC’s history, which was seperate to that of Newco.”

    …………………………………………………………………………………………….

    Great point!!

Although Newco make reference to Oldco’s history, even the ASA have stated that effectively it has no attachment to Newco.

I have the e-mail address– in a meeting just now but will give you a shout shortly.

Barry Bannon not for me— light left footed tanner ball player– undoubtedly would be caught out in Europe– we need to aim bigger in every sense.

Johnny Russell will grow as a player in a hooped Jersey.

At the risk of being corny—– Willie Wallace like.

Scores goals in a so so team– will score more in a better team and one he has a connection with.

    Just my opinion of course.

    Richard Dunn?

Good player– brave player– but not necessarily for us. That could all go horribly wrong I think.

  7. The Gooners allegedly in talks with Celtic regarding Big Vic? I guess if that is the case then they wouldn’t want him the CL qualifiers so he may well be gone as soon as the transfer window opens :-( IMO a solid +10 mill offer with a sell on clause and he will be for the offski despite his protestations that he wants to stay.

Vics old coach has claimed “Wenger spoke to Celtic around a month ago and Victor’s father and his mother Mildred says he would prefer to go there before any other club.

I will be speaking to his parents again in a week’s time and Victor also. But I already know that Arsenal have a big interest in the player”.

  8. “Honduran international Arnold Peralta has agreed a four-year deal with Rangers.

The midfielder’s move to Ibrox is subject to receiving a work permit.

A transfer embargo means the 24-year-old will be registered on September 1 but he will join the rest of the squad for pre-season.

Peralta told the club’s official website: ‘I am delighted to be joining a club with the size and history of Rangers.

‘I had several offers from Europe, MLS and at home in Honduras but when I was told I could sign for Rangers it was an easy decision.

‘I am really looking forward to pulling on that famous blue shirt and getting out on the Ibrox pitch.

‘Hopefully the club and fans will appreciate what I can bring to the team.’

Manager Ally McCoist said: ‘We are delighted Arnold has agreed to join us. We went over and watched him playing for Honduras against Panama and he performed well.

‘He will certainly give us a bit of bite in the middle of the park.

‘He actually played at right-back when we saw him but his best role is sitting in midfield.

‘Arnold is very aggressive and he gets about the park well, so I think he would blend in with the rest of the midfield and he will be a good signing.

‘It’s great we are signing a Honduran international who is of a good pedigree and playing in World Cup qualifiers.'”

    Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!

Benfica 3-0 Celtic. How can we ever forget Heid’s European exploits. How many goals can one of our players score AGAINST us before we admit he has not got the quality to play at that level?

Totally agree with you on Johnny Russell. I think he could be a great player for Celtic for years to come. I also think that it is important to have a nucleus of players of quality who are Celtic supporters and know the importance of playing for the Club. Guys like Charlie and Anthony Stokes are the guys who dig deep when the chips are down, as they were against Kilmarnock when we were 0-3 down.
