Tests for agricultural fields of Lanarkshire

750

Efe Ambrose is quite rightly receiving praise for an impressive debut on Tuesday but these are still early days, our comrades from Fife didn’t present a great challenge.  Berman Kayal also put in a sold shift and, for the record, I’ve been more impressed by him than the even more lauded Victor Wanyama, when both have been on top form, but I would not consider either for a start in Moscow.

With five days until we play Spartak it was more important we saw Joe Ledley, if only briefly.  Joe will need 90 minutes on Saturday.  Even if he gets this he might still be short of fitness for the Champions League.  The most important result from Saturday will hopefully be Georgios Samaras coming through 90 minutes without incident.

Along with Scott Brown, Georgios is one of only two players with Champions League experience prior to this season.  He was also absolutely critical in Celtic breezing through the qualifiers.  Fir Park is a tight, agricultural, field compared to the expansive artificial surface of the Luzhniki, but it will be a good proving ground for anyone hoping to impress Neil Lennon with their fitness.

I remember you posting those events recently.

So you are a definite NO!

A few other CQN’ers posted their stories too, none praising or thanking the police for the way they were dealt with.

A course in “public relations” followed by “customer care” beckons, imo.

    But don’t hold your breath.

  2. What a template you have created – see below.

Will they be HONEST enough to use it and when?

Maybe someone should refer him to this [ from his fellow slur merchant – Sir Irvine Patnick ]

” I would like to put on record how appalled and shocked I was to discover the extent of the deceit and cover up surrounding these events . It is now clear that the information I received from some Rangers officials, past and presnt, was wholly inaccurate , misleading and plain wrong .

However , I totally accept responsibility for passing such information on without asking further questions ”

  4. Thanks Prestonpans Bhoys – appreciated the reply. I was more wondering if anyone had been to the ground today and had a handle if there are many available. I can’t get to Glasgow till tomorrow at earliest. Anyway, thanks for the reply ! HH

    Indeed ———- !

The London one was particularly good ——

The two people at the bus stop were total strangers to me . He was eventually bundled into the van – I was arrested and made to join him . He was not charged [ mistaken identity ]. I was . The police lied, lied and lied again. I was found guilty ..

We were taken to the police station in Hammersmith . . Desk Sergeant asked me for my name and address . The address produced this ——- ” I take it you are squatting there ” – ” No — I own it ” Cue him curling his lip

Only the naïve would trust the word of the police.

With all that has happened the past 40 years or so and the exposure regarding bent coppers – the least any editor worth the name would do is check the facts in detail.

But MacKenzie doesn’t do diligence – he is all about creating stories, printing lies and creating human misery at any cost. So long as he gets his way. His day will come.

Oh I know Ten Men is never one to swallow MSM propaganda and I agree Ledleys contract needs looked at but I have faith in the club that there is a schedule for the talks, and even in the worst case scenario that he doesn’t wish to extend his stay at Paradise he won’t be in a position where he runs down his contract and walks for nothing.

Saw your posts the other night.

We went to Joanna’s on a Monday night too. Used to hang about with two or three footballers at that time. Early seventies.

Got barred from Joanna’s for fighting.

Used to drink in the Griffin, The Bon Accord and the Ole Saints and Sinners.

    Those were the days!

I could drink a bit then, but not now.

I should be pleased to say that…..!

  9. PFayr – He also stated something like “the way it was guised up” which doesn’t sound exactly kosher to me:0)

I trust you are well my friend??? OG Raff seems to have another wee nuget up his sleeve; baited breath on that one.

The best advice anybody could give re: the police is to have as little to do with them as possible. (thumbsup)

  11. The actual journalist who wrote the piece made it clear to McKenzie that the details ‘were only allegations ‘ and Mckenzie used the headline ‘The Truth’

I have no sympathy for him at all. Although other papers told the story, they made it clear that they were only allegations!

I’m sure their as many bent coppers as bent newspapermen.

The last time I bought the Sun was the day after a train crash in London.

The banner headline in the rag was “200 Dead”.

It was a major tragedy where 29 or so people did lose their lives.

Now you can be innaccurate or you can just be making it up.

I decided then that the paper was making it up. Trying to push and boost sales on the back of a tragic event, where decent people lost their lives.

They were scum then and they are scum now.

  13. philvisreturns .

Indeed —— I take the same approach to Sicilian bureaucracy .

    2 recent examples .

5 civil servants arrested and charged re a long running wee scam involving removing 12 .14 euros a month [ under cover of a bogus administration fee ] from @ 500 monthly pension payments . .

2 Doctors arrested and charged re enabling [ in exchange for a percentage ] @ 100 people to claim a disability pension.

I’ve never bought it in my life or any of its sister papers.

But aye. Scum just about sums them up. I have similar feelings towards the polis as well.

  15. Got my ticket for Spartak game, will be sitting among the enemy. Cannot wait to see the Bhoys live for the 1st time in 2 years!

  16. South Of Tunis – You expect that sort of thing from swarthy Johnny Foreigner types though. (thumbsup)

  17. Jim @ 14:18,

I was in the TO around 11am ish today and picked up 2 of the Adult+Kids packages.

Apparently not too many left though.

You should phone the TO tomorrow morning before heading in to ask if they have anything left. thats what I did today.

0871 226 1888 Option 1, then Option 2 (not option 1 which is what sounded more logical by the options…..takes you to ticketmaster and they told me they had none, but to phone the TO direct on the aforementioned instructions)…..usual 5 min wait and then told yes they have some left, not many, but no they couldnt hold any back for me (despite me leaving at that time to arrive 20 mins later) as they have to do 1st come 1st served.

Dunno if that helps you or not though!

    HAIL! HAIL!

  22. From STV:

The draw for the quarter finals of the Scottish League Cup will be held on Thursday, October 4.

Eight sides are left in the competition and will learn who they will face when the names are drawn out at Dumbarton Football Club’s Bet Butler stadium.

The draw will commence at 1.30pm. Teams will not be seeded in this round, which features seven clubs from the Scottish Premier League and Rangers, who are currently competing in the Third Division.

Aberdeen, Celtic, Dundee United, Hearts, Inverness, St Johnstone and St Mirren also remain in the competition.

I know, guys. I am Russian, but support Celtic no matter what. I will be with some of my friends who are fully aware of my allegiance, hope it will be allright!!

Ticket to Celtic game cost me around 18 quid, which is 7 quid cheaper compared to Benfica and Barcelona games (had to buy a set of tickets, to get to Barca game!).

In my GYM all the guys I speak to support Spartak (they really have the biggest fanbase in Russia) hope we will surprise them and get 3 points on the road.

Their main Brazilian midfielder is out for 6 months, but still they can be very dangerous.

Not sure why, but I am confident going to that game :)

  24. Don’t you love the way that the media tries to avoid the plain fact that the Zombies are in the fourth tier of football?

It’s always “currently in the third division” or “now playing in ..” or “demoted to …”.

Anything but accept that this is a brand new club starting at the bottom.

John Terry guilty. 4 game ban + a £220k fine

The FA now believe themselves a higher power than a court of law

Methinks Terry will take this to CAS. And rightly so

    ………..

    Why?

A criminal trial has a much greater burdon of proof than an FA tribumal. Also Terry has admitted he used all the phrases that he was charged with actually saying.

  26. Boobs ?

An epidemiologist told me that the origin of the word boobs is to be found in one of the consequences of having the bubonic plague —-boobos — swellings of the chest .

    I believed him — but maybe I’m a booby

  27. The LC QF draw is to be held in Dumbarton.

No doubt presided over by the SFL President Jim Ballantyne.

Will he be wearing his RFFF badge, I wonder? Or does that no longer exist? We should be told!

How much did they raise anyway – and where is the money now? Quite possibly in a vault somewhere – along with ra deeds!

    HH!!

Also Terry has admitted he used all the phrases that he was charged with actually saying

Yes he has but in repeating what Anton Ferdinand has said to him. You can clearly see him saying “Oi Anton, i never called you a such + such”. That is why he has been ‘charged’ by the FA

The FA have opened a huge can of worms here
