Tests for agricultural fields of Lanarkshire

750

Efe Ambrose is quite rightly receiving praise for an impressive debut on Tuesday but these are still early days, our comrades from Fife didn’t present a great challenge.  Berman Kayal also put in a sold shift and, for the record, I’ve been more impressed by him than the even more lauded Victor Wanyama, when both have been on top form, but I would not consider either for a start in Moscow.

With five days until we play Spartak it was more important we saw Joe Ledley, if only briefly.  Joe will need 90 minutes on Saturday.  Even if he gets this he might still be short of fitness for the Champions League.  The most important result from Saturday will hopefully be Georgios Samaras coming through 90 minutes without incident.

Along with Scott Brown, Georgios is one of only two players with Champions League experience prior to this season.  He was also absolutely critical in Celtic breezing through the qualifiers.  Fir Park is a tight, agricultural, field compared to the expansive artificial surface of the Luzhniki, but it will be a good proving ground for anyone hoping to impress Neil Lennon with their fitness.

I am pretty sure that a sending off in the LC rules you out of your next league game. If Elbows had been red carded last night (stop laughing) i’m led to believe he would have been able to play in SevCo’s crucial :) SC tie at Forres

  2. My Dear Troglodyte Friend….

Since you so often ‘spout off’ about ‘racism’….

Perhaps you should learn how to spell the term….

So you see Ferdinand and Cole as ‘being the same colour….’

And pronounce that they could not ‘racially abuse ‘ each other….

Perhaps you are being rather judgemental….

For a start, you appear to assume that Ashley Cole identifies himself as a ‘black person’….

He was brought up by his white single mother….and her supportive family….

(Perhaps you should read his ‘biog’..)

He has always seemed a straight forward and honest chap to me….

With no ‘chip’ on his shoulder….

    A tribute to his mother…?

Perhaps Ashley Cole objects to the ‘Race Card’ being whipped out on a whim….

    To damage careers and reputations….

And our Sports being used to further the ‘political ends’ of those who wish to destroy Our Society…?

    Thanks very much.

The closest I’ll get is Moscow, Ayrshire.

All I was doing was typing quite quickly pertinent comments from the CelticTV commentary because all I have for the live games is audio. But I am a fan of audio and I like ‘seeing’ the game through words, if that makes sense.

I hate the BBC text commentaries. Ages late and full of stuff that tells us nothing. I like to know the team is stringing passes together. That really matters to me. So that’s all I was trying to convey.

I also know very well what it’s like having no other means of following a game than CQN. CQN is a precious resource. Plenty of CQNers have kept me in the loop for games in the past. If I have the time and at least some live information, I am happy to share what I can.

I think somebody needs to point Alex in the direction of a dictionary and get him to look up the word “loan”

The “tax free” part’s quite interesting also :-)

  9. TSD

Why do you think I posted earlier that Cole wants to be white ?

He has always held a dislike of his father, who is black, for walking out on his mother, who you quite rightly say is white.

Strange that Cole was the only one who backed Terry, not another player backed him.

There is not getting away from the fact that Cole has inherited his fathers skin color, what is he to do, he can’t change it, so maybe he just feels white.

Perhaps you should take more care with your own spelling my racist friend, blog does not have an i in it.

A private equity firm based in the Middle East has announced a deal to take control of Leeds United Football Club.

A wholly-owned subsidiary of Bahrain-based Gulf Finance House (GFH) has been in talks with the club’s current owner Ken Bates for several weeks.

Equity firm GFH Capital said it had “signed an exclusive agreement to lead and arrange the acquisition of Leeds City Holdings, the parent company of LUFC”.

It added Leeds was “one of the best-supported clubs in English football with a higher than average match day attendance than most Premier League teams”……

If any of you bhoys take a look at the huns second goal last night you will see the last motherwell defender was in the way of the shot and jumped out of the way of the ball its quite amazing.I know one thing for certain it will be a different Motherwell on Saturday Neil has a big job on his hands picking the team from a full squad.H.H.

This must be precisely the kind of deal Charles de Gall hopes to pull off. He must think Ken Bates walks on water.

    Who said

“Ash! Are you listening?” said a virtually hyperventilating Jonathan. “I’m here in the office and David Dein is saying they aren’t going to give you £60k a week. They’ve agreed £55k and this is their best and final offer. Are you happy with that?”

When I heard Jonathan (Barnett) repeat the figure of £55k, I nearly swerved off the road. “He is taking the piss, Jonathan!” I yelled down the phone. I was so incensed. I was trembling with anger. I couldn’t believe what I’d heard. I suppose it all started to fall apart for me from then on. I’d trusted Mr Dein to push the deal through.

  23. Sir Kojo….

Bit concerned to see Giorgios being considered for the match against the ‘Mothers’ at the weekend….

Given that he runs with the ball and their only way of stopping him….

Is to bring him crashing to the ground…

Being such a big chap….he does tend to hit the ground with some force….

Hope somebody absolutely ‘stiffens’ Laseley at the weekend….

Even if it does result in a dismissal….

    I’m sure NL has a plan….

  24. Radio Clyde once won a Sony award for their broadcasting during Fergus’s takeover. They be awards zero for their coverage now.

This week they have broadcast Derek Ferguson mentioning cash in brown envelopes at clubs around the country and Alex Rae signing up for tax free loans each year.

They should keep lining up these panelists for self-incriminating displays. Who needs Internet ballots when there are sevcophants in the media?
