The Bhoy Boyata

453

Home games against St Johnstone, Hearts and Aberdeen after facing Albion Rovers in Airdrie isn’t the most taxing period for a Celtic defender, but it would be churlish not to recognise Dedryck Boyata’s form.

The Belgian central defender has been assured and confident. His pace halted a sprightly Hearts attack and an ability to elevate his considerable bulk into the air produced the only goals against St Johnstone and Aberdeen. Without him our attempt on the world record for consecutive league wins may be over.

Is he the genuine article? Maybe. What we can say for sure is that he’s not the bomb-scare he was the previous two years.

It should be no surprise we missed so many chances last night, we were without four of this season’s top five goal-scorers – surely some kind of record?

Great for those who stepped forward when needed, Dedryck in particular, but I’ll be pleased to Leigh, or Moussa, or Tom, or Stuart back for St Johnstone on Sunday.

  4. I caught the interview with Hearts Jamie Walker …..the team was thrown together so quickly , Walker says …even the big Greek boy that came off the bench done well .

He did’nt know his name lol.

What pleases me most this season is how adaptable the team is to situations during a game . Formations changing even subtle ones are making the difference …..as for KT he could be the best Celtic left back ever ..imo.

IMO; One of the most important statements in Celtic’s response is this :-

“This issue also brings the inadequacy of local public transport links sharply into focus. For some time, Celtic Football Club has campaigned for adequate, integrated, public transport links to Celtic Park on match days and this is also a matter which requires attention.”

    —————————————————

Many of us have being highlighting this very point for “Donkeys Years” . Public transport for the sick, disabled , elderly or infirm is frankly disgraceful. It is reassuring to note that the club has been actively pursuing a solution , I hope that this recognition is followed by actions by the relevant authorities. I trust Our club to keep the pressure on .

As the club rightly points out ; we bring a major boost to the economy. We deserve better.

    HH to all.

Well clarified or folk would be wondering why you have Tom’s wife in your hoose !

Seriously though an important phase in the top spots for the league, history making achievements by one team and they talk about the weekend rugby match.

Prestonpans bhoy, I recorded reporting scotland especially to see the huns get a roasting. What a surprise, a short part on the six nations then off to other stories.

Ha ha, heads in the sand again.

JJ, I was thinking that as I typed. I mean, who TF chucks away a full cucumber in Denistoun, its no even salad days yet. Very strange.

  21. 50 shades of green

Thanks for that link. I am pleased that Celtic have involved themselves in the debate over the new parking proposals. The fact is the whole idea is a bona fide Glasgow scam aimed at penalising football supporters attending Celtic Park. Parking restrictions are rarely to do with parked cars but all to do with money. Call it what it really is, a Saturday afternoon tax. Wonder if it applies to concerts at Hampden?

  22. Marrakesh Express on

Shortbread deciding its time to do a Quincy and open the body. Dick Wilson for one, has already lauded Warburton to the high heavens, just as him and practically every one of his msm cronies backed King, Green, Whyte and every other loser coming in the door. The hun and Scottish press pack truly are a marriage made in hell. Long may it last.
