The script was written. Dedryck Boyata was destined to open the scoring against Hamilton Accies yesterday. The only surprise was that this wasn’t followed by ‘a Dedryck moment’, as he mis-controlled for an equaliser. Brendan now has some big decisions to make about the player, but with Jozo Simunovic and Jack Hendry injured, we are down to only two fit central defenders heading into the games against Suduva and Newco, the latter after the transfer window closes (Marvin Compper isn’t even in the debate).
We continually hear that January is a difficult time to sign players. That being the case, we might get as much money for Dedryck then as now. I would also be concerned about signing a player a day or two before throwing him into an atmospheric (cough) capacity game. Especially if he is young.
Brendan has made his thoughts known on our defending this season, but yesterday’s footage from Fir Park will give him some ideas for this Sunday’s game. With so much in play, you feel there is a pivotal week ahead.

Had a couple of drinks so don’t blame me for the Celtic tale of TOMORROW’S SAUSAGE!
Franny was a very tall red-bearded pipe-smoking technophobe with one simple rule that dominated her life. Basically she would never ever leave the house unless she had clothed her delicate but well-honed musculature in a slim-fit light blue (with a yellow glow when the sun shone) two piece suit, brown winkle-pickers and a feckin hilarious prosthetic alligator lower jaw…although the funny side of the charade had escaped the appreciation of the alligator concerned.
She really stood out in her allotted season card slot in the middle of the Green Brigade.
With that sartorial directive however came the need for iron-clad willpower that would see her burn the midnight candle (having ran out of midnight oil) into the wee sma hours, steam-pressing and polishing with the best dubbin that money could buy.
Sometimes as she twisted her neck to admire the cut of her jib and the size of her jaw in the mirror, she thought that she might be classed by some as ‘lonely’ , but there in her attic, the rafters adorned with pictures of Marilyn Monroe, Loretta Lynn and a pouting Conway Twitty to the background lilt of “I want to be loved by you”, she knew that it was probably her lack of computer talent and a habit of opening the skylight and shouting obscenities at the passing full moon that meant she was not lonely at all but in reality “unique”…”a special”…” a wan aff”…like that day when she met a Welsh transgender without malocclusion.
But there was definitely something missing …. “the perfect partner”.
She puffed all four cheeks “Ah the perfect partner” her mind’s film archive replaying the discarded if athletic cuttings from a life of disappointment.
“Time to hone my computing talent and use the tentacle like reach of the web to find my ideal match…..Advice. I need advice” she mumbled to her life-size-blow-up tribute to Maureen O’Hara in the murky corner of the attic beside her mammy’s original Singer Sewing Machine.
“Quiet Man…They would never have made a film called Quiet Woman” Maureen huskily responded in that way that a red-haired smile licks its lips or possibly an inflated doll deflates after its been bitten by a hungry pet rat, and then following a moment of dramatic silence…. “Try C…..M……D”
Franny felt emboldened….”Of course CMD….TO THE COMPUTER and stop biting Maureen” she shouted at the rat.

Res12 being the subject under discussion with apparent lack of drive, I’ve something to add that hopefully dispels the idea that any more supporters resources should be wasted on this if those responsible to represent the shareholders or those responsible to enforce the laws of the sport do not properly address the situation.
During the many discussion had with the company secretary the fraudulent elements of the of the issue were raised on numerous occasions. Unfortunately Auldheid and BRTH aligned with the argument that people in the position of power with corporate allegiances who may have relevant information, were not obliged to make disclosure since the disclosure of the relevant information can be considered as confidential corporate information and they were within their rights to maintain its confidentiality status. Since we were in the company of two lawyers I was inclined to defer to their greater understanding of the law and took their advice in good faith.

It’s the picture since January that has me despondent.
My opinion on Boyatta has been well documented, our best central defender and Brendan’s first choice since January 17.
We knew Boyatta was leaving, well it was odds on ? The club will have offederd him an extended deal, with no acceptance. The CL golden trough was there for us. The club had to prepare to increase our chances of qualification. We did the opposite.
It staggers me that they did. Like all these things fans only “see” what is rumoured and loaded half truths.
As so often happens lady luck turned her face ie Ajer’s suspension, Jozo’s situ. Incidentally Celtic also “damaged” Hendry’s development as he’s been asked too much. How weird has Jack’s status of “prospect” to “dud” been ? It happened close season; group thought at it’s worst.
Boyatta is being villified, and we just don’t know if he deserves it ? The guy kicks a ball for a living huh ? I’m reminded of the Bobo’s, Chief executive quip ? The players’ reaction at the goal yesterday was telling. If a teammate had been the guilty party and negated my CL bonuses I wouldn’t have been running to congratulate him yesterday ?

That was only two years ago, my discussion referred to about four years ago, about the same time I originally sent and you ignored the Jonson quotes from the Daily Record on the WTC becoming a liability? So excuse me if I’m no overly impressed it took you and BHRT a bit of time to catch up on the fraud issue as well. My memory is very clear regarding this discussion as we revisited it a number of times and you both maintained the corporate confidentiality excuse.
Similarly when I objected to you wanting to cede the SFA granting of the license was compliant with the rules in the letter to the SFA as far as I’m concerned set us back at least two years.
Never understood why reporting a substantial change to UEFA only mattered after the March 31st date.
