Celtic controlled the first half at Easter Road without really troubling Hibernian. That control shattered when Nir Bitton and, more culpably, Scott Brown, combined to concede an unnecessary foul then penalty. The subsequent lack of urgency to follow Scott Bain’s save and daydreaming at the second Hibs goal was typical Celtic season 2020-21.
You were not surprised at the outcome. Before the game I wrote a piece on Newco’s accounts (it is important and I will pick it up during the week) but I knew when I was writing it there was a more than decent chance we would have to address this matter instead.
The players have first responsibility to resolve matters, then the manager, then the board. Doubtless there have been several iterations of attempted fixes, but none have been effective. It is not too late to rescue our season but it will be soon.

I said it yesterday and I’ll state it again
At half time it was apparent that a sole striker wasn’t working. After we conspired to lose 2 goals – Our coaching staff thought it correct to swap like for like – meaning until the next subs our coaching staff thought the formation we had was good for 3 goals.
Let that sink in…
new article posted.
We’ll know by the end of today if we still have a chance of doing ten. It doesn’t look good so far.
opposition teams and officials have us sussed we are easily bullied , accept every decision without even a whimper , allow opposition players to push/ kick/dive about without any reaction from our players or management/coaches , we are the softest team in the league and we are going to lose the league this year if we don’t toughen up big time
Seen an interview with one of their players after the game yesterday.
He said all the players put 100% in at training and are striving to get better.
Meanwhile over at the East end, we have at least 7 players who’s attitude is:
Can’t be bothered
I want away
Don’t really give a toss about the result
Have lost all motivation
NL is now a very , very diffuicult dilemma
He is apparently a motivator and not a tactician
If you have a team full of good players who have lost interest and a team full of mediocre players who give 100% …9 times out of 10 the team that try’s the hardest will get a result.
I think it is now too late to change this attitude, our only hope now is to get to January , get rid of anyone who wants away and try to bring in players who will hit the ground running.
As I say, think it’s now too late but what do I know !
pity fans feel NL should go.i do not
all questions re covid should be answered by a board spokesperson not NL
he has a team ro run
not a covid query to answer
no governance query
As pauls bkog says team players then boatd
no it team then ceo
then m/ment then ceo
then its club to ceo
leadership please Peter.
maybe to late but leave him to football.you see he is covered

I can’t see any justification for keeping the current management team in place. I’m talking from the outside, Lawwell obviously knows more and has come to the conclusion that we stand a better chance of winning the league with Lenny.
It’s the in house information that Lawwell has that causes me concern. Are players simply jacking it in because they didn’t get a move ? Regardless of who’s managing some have downed tools ?
I think back to Eddie telling Lennon he was too tired to start a game ( I think it was St Mirren). I think we’re in big trouble and I don’t see a Hollywood ending.
When this season ends the stories will leak and it’ll be jaw dropping for most of us.
An Dun Lawwell doesn’t care about 10 now. He realises it’s gone due to his shower gamble and it’s all about taken care of no 1 now and he is extremely good at that gig.
He will avoid media and will slip quietly away when his time is up next summer —- maybe with a European role lined up. He will take his ill gotten loot of £20M with him. The new CEO will face a catastrophic financial landscape and player sales will result. The roles will be revered over the course of 1 season and as they sober up from celebrating “55” gain CL entry and cash —-whilst our depleted team struggle to make Europa League.
Lawwell has single handedly caused Celtics demise and it will get far worse —— Lennon remaining in situ will probably result in a 3rd place finish. Of course Lawwell willl be sitting chuckling as the new CEO / manager are hounded thinking —- now I hope they appreciate me.
It’s nuts Lennon was appointed —- its criminal he is still here screwing it up.
Lawwell always wanted them back—- and aided and abetted with 5 way agreement whilst burying Res 12.
Well done Mr Lawwell
