THE RETURN OF OLI AND BOLI

OLIVIER NTCHAM and Boli Bolingoli were surprise inclusions in Ange Postecoglou’s travelling squad for Wales.

The French midfielder looked on the brink of a move to Greek giants AEK Athens while the blundering Belgian played only seven minutes of first-team football last season before being offloaded to Turkey on a season-loan loan following his inexplicable secret trip to Spain in August.

Ntcham trained alone last week and his Celtic days looked numbered four years after his £4.5million arrival from Manchester City.

However, he joined Postecoglou’s pool of players as they travelled to their pre-season training camp.

BANISHED…Boli Bolingoli signs his season-long loan deal at Istanbul Basaksehir last summer.

And it now appears the Hoops have decided to take up the remaining year of his contract, according to a report in the Scottish Sun.

Bolingoli joined Ntcham for the squad’s trip to Wales, where they will play three games, starting with Sheffield Wednesday in Newport tomorrow afternoon.

The £3million buy from Rapid Vienna in June 2019 as a replacement for Arsenal-bound Kieran Tierney was shipped out on a temporary transfer to Istanbul Basaksehir after his cameo appearance in the 1-1 draw against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park in the second league outing of a disappointing campaign.

The club’s international contingent were present after an extended break – with Norwegian defender Kristoffer Ajer, who admitted he wants to leave Parkhead, among them.
