I know demand from broadcasters is terrible and money is poor. It’s also true that means Scottish Premiership clubs are desperate for cash, any cash, but Celtic are not one of those clubs.
It’s Celtic who subsidise Scottish football, from top to bottom. It’s Celtic fans who are inconvenienced by an 8pm Saturday night kick off at St Mirren next month.
The league’s great beneficiary is Celtic, not Sky Sports, that source of revenue should be nurtured, not inconvenienced.

Adam Idah coming on for the Republic
and misses from 3 yards
Idah misses sitter.
been such a pish game.
funniest bit was the armenian player getting sent off for the headbutt
he had a bandage put round his napper (terry butcher style) for an earlier head knock.
but instead of trying to protect it for the rest of the game, he goes for a headbutt
mad!
Tiny Tim@7.53
Mike McDonald was the goalkeeper I think.
He was a big Celtic man. Signed for Hibs from Clydebank II think.
Possibly Mike Conroy’s first Celtic appearance but I’m not sure about that.
Excellent performance by England considering the tough group they were in
HH
Idah has had two close range efforts saved and one good finish called back for earlier offside position.
Timforlife
Are they not in that group because they got relegated into it.Seems very strange if that is the case.
Republic win 1-0, still in the mix due to results elsewhere believe it or not
Portugal up next though
KevJungle @ 9:11 pm,
Don’t get too hung up on broadcasters, publications, main stream media, social media, news outlets etc
Nor politicians, personalities, freedom fighters, influencers, intellectuals etc
They are neither all good nor all bad.
For me, it’s discerning that’s important.
For instance I knew by and large what was going to happen in Palestine, not because I’m smart… it’s just a result of history repeating, a while back I posted this…
…“For this reason, the present Israeli attacks will fail in their essential purpose, but at the same time they must be condemned vigorously throughout the world. The development of the crisis in the Middle East is both dangerous and instructive. For over 20 years Israel has expanded by force of arms. After every stage in this expansion Israel has appealed to “reason” and has suggested “negotiations”. This is the traditional role of the imperial power because it wishes to consolidate with the least difficulty what it has already taken by violence. Every new conquest becomes the new basis of the proposed negotiation from strength, which ignores the injustice of the previous aggression.”
That was the last letter wrote by Bertrand Russell, he wrote it in 1970.
Does that seem prescient?
Well when he was a small boy Bertrand Russell lived with his Grandmother and Granddad.
His Grandad John Russell had opposed Britian’s declaration of War with Napoleon when he was an MP.
Maybe it was a knowledge based letter that was wrought from experience.
Hail Hail
Watched the B team highlights, beat 5-3 by East Fife.Looked like they were playing in Barlinnie.
Shocking defending. Our keeper, excellent, kept it down to single figures.
TINYTIM
Fairly sure they only got two trebles in that mid 70s period.

……
All seating has reduced the away ticket allocations.
Lego styled stadiums do nothing for safety either.
But almost every Celtic game is beamed live on TV one way or another.
The trademark 3pm kick offs on a Saturday have been binned by the Tory capitalist backdoor smash & grab of the gemme and they won’t stop until football is played by A.I. players and watched by A.I. crowds.
Sadly.

On Orban,Hungarian leader, nearly everyone shocked he was invited,
“Now we have Prime Minister Orban,a good friend of mine.A lot of people here don’t like him,too bad,I do,I am the only one here that matters”.
Asked where the ” Representative” from Britain was ( Ouch ),Starmer replied,”Right behind you sir,as always. What a twat.
.
See a headline in a Tory rag tomorrow” England has lost control of its borders”
How old is that news?.Happened in 1066
Lindsell Train Limited, owned by Michael Lindsell and Nick Train and with a net worth of over £13billion, is the second-largest shareholder
But they have opted to reduce their stake by 0.69 per cent, equal to around 750,000 shares.
It means their voting rights also take a hit, dropping from 16.39 per cent to 15.70 per cent.
Bada,
I bought them.
Timbhoy,
Exactly. So you get relegated from the top tier, and end up in a group like that to qualify for the finals.Stinks to high heaven.
Dont know about any of you lot – but i dont know anyone who travels to Paisley from other towns and cities in Scotland, England, Ireland or wherever, just to go to the Cinema.

This was last night were 2 Palestinian Female Doctors were interviewed on Unity News Net.
This news site has a bit of the learning curve about it.
Its not left right or centre. Its reality.

Hear me out….this is the Rangers fan who learned that we’re ALL being had.
Catholic/Protestant/Republican/Loyalist/Celtic/Rangers etc, all dividing us about stupid stuff.
It was not stupid to those who gave their blood for these causes and may they rest peacefully.
The main presenter, was in the BNP, back in the day, then in the Tory Party, was a Protestant/Loyalist, who used to like walking behind Orange Walks etc.
He walked down the opposite side of the road from the one which Celtic fans would walk down.
Then way back in the day, the leader of the BNP, Nick Griffin, came out and said he had nothing in common with George Galloway, politically.
BUT.
NG then went on to say that:
“Galloway is correct. No matter who wins the General Election, Isreal wins, and Galloway is the only one who will say so.”
That was back in the early 90’s.
I don’t know when UNN guy got his eyes opened by Galloway, but I only noticed this, UNN at the start of the Ukraine stuff in 2022.
UNN guy, more often than not saying for the past 3 years that I have come across that channel, as they were also Truth tellers during Covid scam, often that:
“Galloway’s is the only political voice that can be trusted in Britain.”
Even a bitter Hun who eventually realized that the bitterness was nothing, when compared to reality.
A few months ago the UNN guy was advocating for everybody to join Reform Party and wreck it from the inside, AFTER, it had crushed Labour and Tory in the next election.
Only for the UNN guy to be schooled the next day by Galloway, who left the UNN guys name out, on the Crispin Flint Show on Youtube, were Galloway said:
“Been hearing of proposals to join Reform and then wreck it from the inside by voting everything down once Reform get elected, but that would be to fail to learn from the Corbyn lesson, when he got elected leader with a view to changing Labour’s foreign policy, and the Lobby MP’s were ordered to get rid of him and destroy the Labour party all together, which we are seeing right now, so that there will be no more Corbyn’s emerging from Labour.”
UNN guy, who has long stood totally with Palestine[since the Galloway effect] and the Palestinian People whose stolen land Israel is built upon, now has 2 Female Palestinian Doctors being banned by the NHS for refusing to bow to Lobby groups who have taken control of the NHS through the backdoor, on his UNN show in which guests only get about 30 mins.
Well the 2 Rebel Doctors were on for over 2 hours, and it was like listening to the Palestinian/Isreal/Lobby/Corruption/Angle as though it was my 2 auld Irish aunties teaching me all over again.
The UNN guy is certainly not what or who he was.
But it is good to see a guy who would probably have gone on with his head space filled out by imaginary enemies, when the real enemies get away with their deeds because nobody saw through their trick, until Galloway appeared from his journey, and onto the clear path, dragging the unsure doubters with him to the real stage, were you either, get it, or it flies over your head, and your Lobby enemies win it all.
Call it the Galloway effect.
Are you listening Timdom?
Are all of the Celtic Collective groups looking for a straight talking leader who carries a punch with his words?
A leader who does not need 30 meetings to get to the point.
A leader who wouldn’t wait until the season ticket horses had bolted then start whining like the manager about transfer windows.
A real journo should pin Rodgers down after next transfer window, were Rodgers says he and the club are happy with the TW, only to whine about it a couple of weeks later after some unexpected result, and ask Rodgers straight out if he thinks that if he was in another line of work and agreed to stuff that didn’t measure up that he should be sacked for that, as it is now every TW that Rodgers does this Jekyll & Hyde pisstake routine?
If only Tims realized that they don’t know everything, yet.
Neither do I, I’m just a wee puppy dog chasing sticks.
Woof! Woof!

You are correct they only did 2 trebles .
They were going for their 3rd in 78/79 ,and we stopped it with the 4-2 win to rap up the title in Cesars first season as manager.

I don’t think there was bother pre 1977.
But I do recall trouble in the very late 1970’’ there.
Also a pitch invasion ,countered by Jock Stein ,I think in 1978.
It was after a shocking tackle by the Hibs keeper ( McDonagh ,I think) on a Celtic forward went unpunished ,after several big decisions went against Celtic .
Those were the day’s when the Masonic cheating was still at its peak.
77/78 was a very poor season .
The Huns did there 3rd treble in 4 seasons, and we lost King Kenny and Pat Stanton.
…….
HH TinyTim
I remember it well. We played there at Easter road on the Wednesday night, drawing 0-0.
The talking point of that night came after the game were Celtic vs Hibs fans charging into each other for almost an hour on the main city centre street, bottles, bricks, flying everywhere, large shop windows all caved in, it was like a Celtic vs Rangers or Hearts battle from thos days.
Then 3 days later were Celtic’s travelling support was almost double that of midweek.
The game went like almost every other that season, huffing and puffing, missing chances, then caught on the break and the roof would fall in on the team.
A ball came into Hibs box, Tom McAdam our striker went into 6 yard box and Hibs GK Mike McDonald jumped into the air, caught the ball and came down aiming his studs into TM thigh a right bad one, ref waved play on, which led to riots up and down the cEltic end behind the goals, then a pitch invasion, followed by the Legendary figure of Mr Stein putting fans back off the pitch and onto the terrace, with a mind blowing version of YNWA that I can still hear echoing at the back of my Cellic mind.
Mike Conroy scored our goal a cracker as well.
Mr Stein’s last season as well.
https://youtu.be/PcZ0yrTT45c
77/78 was the learning year of just what Celtic were up against.
But at least we had the Jungle to serenade away the blues.

A World Without Consequence
With perpetrators as saviours the ‘peace plan’ is a post-truth fantasy based on carnage.
MIKE SMALL

The grotesque spectacle of those who have waged and financed genocide gathering to engage in sycophancy and backslapping is nauseating. The apologism and rewriting of history is disgusting, as is the complicity of most of the West’s media.
The celebration of aid getting through as if it couldn’t have got through many months ago is propaganda.
The lauding of Trump and Netanyahu as peacemaker’s is a sick joke, as ‘leaders’ who are little more than dictators and warlords gather to bask in the media’s unquestioning glow.
