The stock of corporate knowledge

349

We are all looking forward to big changes in the football department.  Players, manager, coaches and scouts will arrive at Lennoxtown in the coming months with the specific aim of improving the performance of the football department.

Such change brings risks, but just to the culture of the club, which is up for renewal every week and saw plenty of change in the autumn, but to the stock of corporate knowledge.  One of the failings of John Barnes short-lived experience was his failure to understand the risks when visiting places like Tannadice.  Some travel north thinking it will be all too easy, remember Joey Barton, who was nutmegged at Ibrox during a defeat to Hamilton Accies.

If today’s story on John Kennedy being promoted to work with Eddie Howe is true, he will add a couple of decade’s experience of how Scottish football works to the new management team.  I also hear Eddie was impressed by John.  Of course, sticking it to them on Sunday will not do any harm.

    I believe that 100%.

Thats why I would bet TET’s swimming pool on it.

(you have seen pictures of the swimming pool ?)

  3. My serious point is though, if we think that our own have failed, then be temperate in any criticism.

Success or failure should not be a requirement of inclusion.

  4. On social media today, ‘on this day Celtic beat Rangers 2001, 2012, 2017, 2018’. These are the same folk who will fall over themselves to say that they are a new club. Why does the support give them so much credence and relevance.

  6. Good Stuff LENNYBHOY on 29TH APRIL 2021 7:38 PM, should it all or even part of it come tae fruition it means that the Kaiser has once again stepped up tae the plate.

As for the Technical Director position should it come tae culmination, 2 interesting candidates you have named, Richard Hughes we know about, although born in Glasgow he grew up in Milan and is well thought of by Fast Eddie.

Neil McGuiness is the Dark Horse here, I didn’t realise he was our First Team Senior Scout, similar role tae big JK, and responsible for the signings of both Virgil Van Dijk and Stefan Johansen. Good times ahead right enough.

Happy also tae read that big John might be retained in some position although if not then he can move on and hone his skills elsewhere like the Big Mhan did, after all he is still a young mhan, 38, which I believe was Jock’s age when he went tae the Pars.

Both were also centre half’s, came fae Lanarkshire and Celtic saved their careers, Jock when they brought him back up fae Wales and then retained him after a career ending injury which he picked up against deidco, while we know John’s story.

For those that believe we were being over kind tae John and a bit too sentimental, Celtic don’t work that way, they got rid of the best manager in my lifetime when it suited them, did the same twice with big Billy, cut our greatest ever goal scorers wages when he widnae leave, retired the highest paid player the Mighty Atom without telling him only for the wee mhan tae play another 131 games for Falkirk and fired loyal servant manager Jimmy McStay while he was on holiday, he only found out when he read it in the newspaper. Oh and treated our greatest manager ever with contempt when they let him go.

Reasons for voting for Independence > England is Conservative

    (2) Westminster houses the most corrupt inept Govt in the western world voted in by the English conservative electorate

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has paid out more than £38 million after reneging on a pre-contract arrangement with a provider of COVID-19 testing services.

This may be the “largest settlement figure” of its kind so far in the ongoing procurement scandal, an NHS procurement specialist has suggested to Byline Times.

The settlement agreement notice published on the Government’s Contract Finder website appears to be the first that has been released during the Coronavirus pandemic. It reveals that the DHSC paid a Dubai-headquartered company called Ecolog nearly £38.5 million for a service it never received.

  21. Just been watching “Generation Gap” on Fox Sports. Was about big clubs who had been relegated, some who have come back, some who are strugling. Man U, Ipswich, athletico Madrid etc. You know what’s coming next.

Rhysh Roshan Rai talks about the Currants and how they’ve came back under Slippy.

Caption underneath his picture states they went into Administration and went into Liquidation October 2012.

Next on was Dez Corkhill ” I must point out that they are not really the same club”

Saved me sending in a protest

The Herald reports that while working as an MSP, Douglas Ross was the first tenant in the Edinburgh property after it was purchased by refereeing colleague Andrew Dallas and another man in 2016.

And LibDem candidate for Moray Sheila Ritchie said: “I understand the importance of parliamentarians securing appropriate accommodation but with the Conservatives already mired in another round of allegations over sleaziness and cronyism, it’s disappointing to hear that the leader of the Scottish Conservatives chose to pick a flat that funnelled money to his mate.
