You’re either an asset manager or you’re deluded. Josip is not going to go because Celtic are desperate to get rid of him. He will go because he wants to go. We tested the water with a new contract offer; he wasn’t buying. The club has already received a big club offer, Josip and his agent are aware of it and has not refused interest.
Our choices are :-
1) Sell him now when his value is at its highest
2) Keep him and let his contract run down. Is Josip happy to forego his best chance of a move to a bigger club. If uninjured, he would be nearer 30 when we let him go and the offer could be off the table.
3) Keep him against his will and piss him off and lose attractiveness to potential future signings.

Argentina’s Alexis MacAllister has brothers called Kevin and Francis. Family left Dublin in 19th century.
